It does take a little to basically read them while catching every detail visually; once you have that down, you are good to go.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

That's fair. Also, in olden tymes subtitles were often incompetently done -- dark text on a dark print, that kind of thing. But these days they're done very well.

Just am about at the end of S2 of The Wire. Diggin' Proposition Joe (great nickname, btw). Glad to see Bubs still in the mix, hope he becomes a major character again. Agree that S2 is a bit slower, but don't mind that. Still going strong.

Honestly, you don't even need the fight songs. "Yep, we watch a repeating video of a burning log on the tv, all day."

The recovery of the original Yule Log footage is is a good story. It never occurred to me as a kid that it was a way to let the station employees spend Christmas with their families.

Growing up near NYC, it gives me good memories. Here is the original footage and the play list. I remember the transitions between songs, just like an old album played a million times. Warning: the music is terrible.

Fun fact: it was filmed at Gracie Mansion.

OK, four episodes of "Major Crimes" left.
It's pretty clear villain Philip Stroh will be the theme on the way out.

I'm thinking Stroh gets dusted*, the question is "by whom?"

                        I've got ...
                        Provenza at 3:1
                        Rusty at 4:1
                        Flynn at 4:1
One of the noobs (Paige or Nolan) at 20:1
Sanchez is 30:1 (too obvious), unless it's done "hand to hand" then it's 2:1
Tao, Sykes, or Chief Mason at 50:1
Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson makes a cameo and caps him is at 500:1

But my surprise is Buzz Watson at 9:2

They don't get Stroh (and he's the focus of the next series) is at 10:1 in my book.

                        Takers?

                        *Capped? 86'd? "Magic badged"?

                            Pluto.TV, channel 435. It's free.

(I have Pluto.TV because I can watch Big Sky Conference games for free there.)

Oh, ho, ho -- you are in for a treat. Also watch American Vandal if you haven't, on Netflix. It's f-cking brilliant.

We are in the golden age of television. This is the first time in history a massive number of shows have been created and released strictly for smart people. We no longer need to dumb it down to generate the mass audiences we used to. And we no longer have to be politically correct not to offend all the conservative religious / political snowflakes.

I wish we could somehow do the same with politics.
Haha just started American vandal. Brilliant!!
