Mexico sucks. Portland sucks. Continue.
Seattle plays Minnesota United this weekend BTW.
USWNT doesn't actually suck though![]()
An example of the geopolitics of the beautiful game.
By signing the Brazilian star for its flagship sporting asset, Qatar would be projecting a business-as-usual image to foreign allies and investors after two months locked in a bitter diplomatic dispute with its neighbors.
While a footnote in monetary terms in Qatar's wider investment portfolio, the immensely wealthy 2022 World Cup host nation has long used sports as a way to elevate its stature. Signing one of the most recognizable and marketable figures in the sports world would be an extravagant demonstration of that.

Been on vacation so haven't been posting but VAR is now being used in MLS. Had two goals overturned this weekend due to VAR but no PKs (f you Brits!) or Send Offs yet.
Also Seattle beat Minnesota 4-0, but defending champion with 10 out of 11 starters (and the one basically being a starter himself) versus expansion team with starters missing will end up like that. Supposedly the Seattle fans chanted "We Want Cheese Curds!" and somebody bought them some.
I came to Casablanca for the football????

BHA 28 mins in and still scoreless at City. Maybe I have a placeholder until the Cottagers finally return*.
* This isn't actually ever going to happen. We are headed for tier 3.

The B/EPL transfer window will get a wee bit smaller in 2018.

It's interesting watching different leagues now with VAR vs without VAR. MLS, Bundesliga, Serie A, and the A League all have VAR compared to the BPL (Kepler) which doesn't. It's certainly a different game with VAR compared to without.
