Joel's double disc of greatest hits gives one pretty much anything good he did, minus a newer song here and there (I really liked River Of Dreams; We Didn't Start The Fire was okay, but way overplayed).Originally posted by Slap Shot View PostNever really developed a taste for tequila. Did a Jukebox takeover yesterday at Old Chicago. The theme? Foreign-language, one minor exception, which would be the first song listed here, but it is a French artist who is rather worldly, and I consider it an Africa song of sorts.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I have strong negative feelings about him because he's from the town literally next to my hometown and there's a level of the locals crawling up his as-s that one typically only sees in parochial backwaters like Boston. But his awful mature output really obscures the fact that he was one helluva talent before he got money.
