Vertical monopoly. We aren't humans, we're just their install base.

China has already taken more initiative than the US if they haven't already have surpassed the US on many fronts when it comes to renewable sources.

Yes lets allow the caps to melt so we can ship things more efficiently!!

Mike Pompeo Praises Climate Change in the Arctic as ‘New Opportunities for Trade

“Steady reductions in sea ice are opening new passageways and new opportunities for trade,” Pompeo told the room. “This could potentially slash the time it takes to travel between Asia and the West by as much as 20 days. Arctic sea lanes could come before—could come [sic] the 21s century Suez and Panama Canals.”
I literally have lost all attempts at trying to comprehend the mentality that leads to such monumentally ignorant, selfish and warped points of view. They will not stop until we're all dead, or at least until all our grandchildren are doomed to live underground.

Is it really because they truly believe Armageddon is around the corner and life as we know it is coming to an end anyway?

Australia would no longer be a gigantic desert if it keeps moving north like that.

And Europe would be part of a enlarged Sahara desert with no Mediterranean.

From that projection probably something in the Alps, when Africa buttf-cks the Mediterranean.

But from what I understand about the Himalayas they are actually well below their theoretical maxima and they are still growing. The highest mountain will probably remain in Asia until everything is Asia.

The tallest mountain on earth is Mauna Kea.
