Yeah, I've been slacking, there's a couple more... Austin Cook, defender at Selects Academy at South Kent, as well as Nic Hamre from Brooks in the AJHL.
Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey
Good week for UVM commits. Carter Long was named USHL Defenseman of the Week, and Simon Boyko and Riley McCutcheon are both headed to the CJHL Top Prospects Game.
Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey
Haven't updated this in a while, but was working on my projected roster tonight. It looks like Ocean Wiesblatt is no longer committed to UVM. Can't say I'm shocked if that's true; always felt him committing was the staff trying to convince Orca to come. When Orca went WHL instead figured that was the end.
Also makes the recent commitment from Dallas Comeau make a bit more sense.
Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey
Mark Cheremeta has committed to UVM. '99 from Islanders Hockey Club. Played with Vlad Dzhioshvili in midget. Tied for third in the NCDC in scoring this year.
Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey
So weird to see guys that I saw play what seems not-so-long ago, having kids that will be playing in college (or already are).
Bad news for UVM on this one.
@JeffCoxSports
Northeastern receives a commitment from one of the top '03s in USA in Ryan St. Louis. Smart, skilled forward who can make plays and he's not afraid to go into dirty areas. Son of retired NHL super star and UVM alum Marty St. Louis.

Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey
The fanbase is already annoyed that UVM can't keep the little talent coming out of VT in-state (Finkelstein twice, Samuelsen, etc). Losing the kid of arguably our most famous hockey alumnus (even if the St. Louis family is not from VT) to a conference foe is not going to help.

Kyle Haskins who could also potentially be a late round NHL draft pick this year from Williston going to Michigan State! These players and the local hockey community know that Sneddon is a joke and before you go around saying VT does not have the high levels of talent all of us are aware....but the coaches here of the elite level kids are aware STAY AWAY FROM SNEDDON! It is a shame that what is supposed to be the crown jewel of the state Sneddon is considered a joke and no real D1 talent frmo the state will go play for him!!
