    I would just send Boris to the Tower and be done with it. Sometimes a benevolent dictator needs to step in.

      The queen has the authority (some would say the responsibility) to do just that. But it would be an extraordinary move by a monarch in the modern era. She would have to make it clear to the public that she is doing that because her country is divided and needs clarity to reach a monumental decision. The current political leaders are not providing that (I would put Corbyn in that category as well). She can sack the PM, dissolve Parliament on the condition that new elections be held within 30 days and appoint Kenneth Clarke (the 'Father of the House' as the longest-serving MP) as caretaker PM. He is an old Thatcher Tory, but he was kicked out of the conservative party earlier this month and is currently an Independent. He is one of the few MPs who is respected across the Commons.

            The Poles are what, 90% Catholic? And eat almost as many potatoes per annum as the Irish? Have them move to Dublin and co-mingle with the gingers. Now that would be a genetic experiment worth seeing the results of in 20 years.

                                All over really, which is why I feel like I had a good grasp of British life enough to know it’s not for me. London, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and even some small villages near Oxford
