That's under current UK law. During the previous independence movement it was suggested that they would extend citizenship to children and grandchildren of Scots sans income requirements. Don't know about healthcare. Of course, the independence movement didn't succeed at that point. It was a incredibly hypocritical of the English to beg the Scots not to leave because "We're stronger together!" then turn around a year later and drag Scotland out of the EU. Hopefully Scotland does the sensible thing and leaves the UK after Brexit. After independence I'll see where I stand.

The Independent Group has been officially recognized as a full political party and will be known as Change UK. The election launch was today. Issue #1: Remaining in the EU.

Are these pro-EU refugees from both Labour and Tory?

Why didn't the Liberal Democrats use this issue to finally become a real boy? Seems ready made.

There are MPs who were part of both parties and a whole lot of people who haven't held public office who are running.

I think the Liberal Democrats tried to make it an issue but couldn't get any traction in the media.

Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is pushing for a second vote for Scottish independence in 2021, regardless of how Brexit ultimately turns out.

Estimates are the demographics will be right for the reunification of Ireland by the middle of the decade. By 2030 England could find itself very much alone in the world.

Do you think that the UK nations really care about disassociated with England when they're not on or near Britain? I get the sense that it's pretty much just those who've truly suffered historically at the hands of the English that give a hoot one way or the other. The tax paid to the monarchy is miniscule, less than a quid per year. The cost of exiting the relationship, and the implied protection that the weaker nations/territories enjoy would far outstrip that pittance of a payment.
