Kind of fitting for an RPI boy & an SLU boy get the the call.....
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

OK, now this is HUUUUUUGGGG-ah. The first 1000 fans to come get a free Erik Burgdoerfer bobble head!...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=w4AICbzZ4N4

Todays line for Drewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! 2 goals in a 3-2 win. His totals for the first 14 games played.

    Drew
    Melanson
    14G 4Goals 9Assists 13Points

Leads all forwards on the Maine team. You think maybe he could have been nice to have in Troy for his fourth year? Seems to have fit in real well at BU and now even better at the next level in ECHL. Great going !!

He had been immediately reassigned to help with that Saturday's game, but he has since been recalled again: https://bellevillesens.com/senators-recall-burgdoerfer/

He has suited up against both Boston and Nashville. Very limited ToI on Tuesday (looks like Ottawa dressed 7 D and he was the odd one out on the pairings), so not sure if he'll play tomorrow or be reassigned to Belleville.

Ottawa and Belleville are both away during the CCT/SLU weekend, so no chance to see him play then.

In Ottawa's game on Dec. 14, a 4-2 victory over Detroit, Burgdoerfer led both teams in hits with six. According to Hockey Reference's summary of the game, he was ranked as the third most effective Senator in the game.

One might have thought that would have earned him a spot in the starting lineup for the next game, but apparently the powers that make such decisions for the Senators decided it wasn't good enough. When the Senators played the Canadiens on Dec. 15, Burgy did not play.

There may be some cold comfort to be taken in the fact that, with Burgy out of the lineup, the Senators lost, 5-2.

The coach got questions about BP. The first is at about the 3-minute mark.
