    2. Why would you want to carry a Gopher game when FSN is carrying the game, and in HD. How many Gopher fans do you think watched the SD NBCSN broadcast instead of the FSN HD broadcast with our broadcasters (as bad as LaPanta was)?
    The bottom line is the buck stops with the school media directors and the RSN (if there is one). For example, DU was able to negotiate a contract for TV games with NBCSN, because they have a lucrative media contract with Root (an RSN subsidiary of DirectTV). The Gophers have a much stronger adhesion contract with BTN and FSN. I suspect Michigan's situation is similar as well. But you're right a broadcast conflict with a large media market is not recommended.

      Why does NBCSN have such a big boner for UNO? They are not that good.

                                I hadn't really noticed the title to this thread before. Just out of curiousity, was GE trying to re-create the magic of the Denver "From Boonetown to Motown" season thread of a few years ago.
