Djokovic now with 16 majors. Does he get to 20? If so, does he go down as the greatest ever?

Djokovic is 4-1 against Federer in finals of majors (3-0 at Wimbledon; 1-1 at US Open), and 4-4 against Nadal in finals (2-0 at Australian; 0-2 at French; 1-0 at Wimbledon; 1-2 at US Open).

He's 32. He might very well get to 20.

If he gets to 21, there isn't much argument that he's the best. If he's at 20, there's going to be a conversation about it. Yeah, he's 4-1 against Fed, but he's also 5 years younger, too.

Nadal could get past 20 just on French opens if he can keep his health.

There’s no younger players knocking the door down.

I missed that- what happened? Did his wife finally realize how insufferable he is and leave him?

There has been and is continuing to be a lot of drama with the ATP board. Justin Gimlestob was sort of in charge of it on the players side then he got arrested last fall and was finally forced to resign a few months ago but is still calling a lot of the shots.

Djokovic retires (shoulder) against Wawrinka. Wawrinka vs Federer in the quarters.

No, Fed V Dimitrov and Stan V Medvedev. The winners play each other in the semis.

Really strange match. I love Fed and really hope there was no funny business going on. It’s been a really bizarre 10 years for him in NY, maybe he desperately doesn’t want to play Nadal there?

is it just me, or is anyone else as tired as Hell of Nadal's HS-girl gamesmanship? He makes Serena look like an Eagle Scout. She, at least, doesn't milk the clock when things aren't going her way, let along disappear for an 8-minute BR break.

He's a great physical talent, but a perennial wuss.

Thank you for offering your opinion. Makes me feel less alone on this one.

I've played tennis for 30 years, and sometimes at a high-level.

We all should hate the cowardice that Nadal shows when he behaves like a scorned little girl, and dictates the pace of the match as though that's his prerogative.

He should have been docked at least 2 more points on Sunday for delays, but the umpire was very late in growing a set.

Nadal is a great talent, but the tail was wagging the dog there. The deck was stacked against Medvedev from the get-go.
