So Iran can do this too? Whoops!
Re: US Foreign Policy 3.0: We're The Mets of International Diplomacy
Vladimir Putin, of all the fu**ing people, is in agreement that this was a terrible fu**ing idea, and some of those captured ISIS fighters are going to go free.
Quote:
"Kurdish units used to keep an eye on those areas but now that Turkish troops are entering the region, they may just flee away," Putin explained. "I'm not sure that the Turkish army will be able to take control of the situation, and quickly."
He cited intelligence from the Russian military which suggested there were hundreds, possibly thousands of militants in the region. "It's a real threat to all of us," Putin said. "Where will they go? Will they go deeper into Syria, to areas that no one controls, and then move to other countries of the region via Iran?"
Weeeee!!!! We're going to war with Iran!

Nah. They'll bomb our troops, say it was an accident and our soldiers will just retreat.

Re: US Foreign Policy 3.0: We're The Mets of International Diplomacy
So the Kurds are trying to align with Putin and Assad, you know, the two people the US was actively avoiding.
And, Turkey is basically steamrolling another nations border, BECAUSE of us, and all Trump can do is:
<img src=https://ndfilmz.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/leslie-nielsen-safety-patrol-full-movie-family-comedy-youtube-thumbnail-277x156.jpg>
There was also a Tweet from a former mortar man in the Army where he says Bracketing (shooting short and also past your enemy) is a pants shi**ing experience because he was trained to do it to enemy forces. It's basically ranging you weapons and telling the enemy "next one's coming right for you."
And our NATO ally Turkey bracketed our forces still on the ground...

Re: US Foreign Policy 3.0: We're The Mets of International Diplomacy
It will never happen, but at this point I'd be fine with Trump going to Gitmo for war crimes.

Re: US Foreign Policy 3.0: We're The Mets of International Diplomacy
So basically, Trump just cucked the US military. I wonder how they feel about that.
Also, I wholeheartedly wish Old Pio was alive today to see this and react to it. :)

Re: US Foreign Policy 3.0: We're The Mets of International Diplomacy
Word on Twitter this afternoon is that the US stores 50 nuclear warhead missiles on the Turkish controlled Incirlik Airbase, because they are (were?) our ally.
Seems their return to US control might be in jeopardy...
