You guys sure do have a talent for "knowing things".
He/She has made a total of three posts; two of them on this comment thread, and one on the Transfer Portal thread. Zero on any Wisconsin comment thread.
Somehow you conclude he/she is "from WI"....

Something I guess I didn't fully realize until yesterday:
Generally, grad transfers can enter the portal "any time". But in practice, while their "window" starts at the beginning of their final undergrad year, it closes when their individual sport's window closes. For...

You mean like if someone posted a link to a document published by the NCAA themselves, and somebody else said it wasn't true or accurate? That sort of "denial"?
LOL!...

Parents of current OSU team members know and were talking about what players in this year's portal Wisconsin had contacted? That would be ... curious. How would they know?
Or parents of upcoming OSU transfers were at the championship game talking about who had been in contacts with the...

NONSENSE.
Say I'm a student-athlete considering transferring. Haven't decided anything, just thinking about it. It is you position that they CAN'T go out on the web to find accurate information? That the only place they can get the information is from their coach?!? That's absurd.

So the answer is "no". As I thought.
I post links to documents published by the NCAA. You guys blow smoke. Who to believe?
LOL
(Has Sierra ever made *anything* "clear"? Not that I recall. LOL)...

Bull. Utter nonsense.
If there were "exceptions" then the statement in the NCAA document would say there were exceptions. It does not.
You're blowing smoke, it is obvious that you're blowing smoke.
Read further into the document I posted - it's all of...

Complete and utter nonsense.
"Student-athletes may not speak to other schools about transferring ... until they receive notice that they have been input into the Transfer Portal." There is NOTHING ambiguous about that. Nothing.

Google is a tool that one uses to find information.
The statement is from a document published by the NCAA, with a publication date of April 2024, and that document can be found at the link provided.
If that isn't "good enough" a source of information for you guys,...Last edited by robertearle; 04-22-2024, 11:04 AM.

No, they cannot.
If a player not yet in the portal contacts a school, that school is REQUIRED to say nothing more than "We cannot talk to you until you enter the portal." PERIOD.
"Division I student-athletes must complete the Division I Transfer Module and notify...Last edited by robertearle; 04-22-2024, 10:12 AM.

Oh, I understand there are schools and coaches who are going to push the limits, and maybe cross the line into "violation" territory. But no, I do NOT believe that "everybody does it"....

But that isn't what you've said in the past. In the past, you've stated that there were "done deals" before players' names ever even made it to the portal. So which is it?
Direct quotes from prior posts you have made:
"You assume she wasn't a done deal before...

"These transfer portal moves come as Ohio State is loosing a large portion of its defensive core..."
I think "loosing" in place of "losing" is the single most common typo on the entire internet. I see it SO often....

You first mentioned stats in response to Tim's post about Swiderski, and you *clearly* meant to imply that hers' would get better at Ohio.
And yeah, that team that Webster played on, she was pretty much the only thing they had going... smh....

Makenna Webster had better numbers at Wisconsin. Sydney Morrow better at Colgate....

Back when she committed/signed, her being listed as "from Oregon" but playing in NY was discussed, but I don't think we managed to come to any definitive conclusions about it. Spending five minutes today using a couple of the various "people search" web sites, both her parents are...

That Wisconsin expressed interest in them, to them, is a reasonable assumption. But it's only an assumption; it isn't necessarily the "stated fact" they/he want it to be. That was and is my objection. But yeah, "throwing shoulders" is a good way to put it....

Swiderski played on the Canadian U19 team that won the gold at LaBahn in 2022, as did Disher, and Ava Murphy. I don't have any specific recollections of those two from that tournament, but you gotta figure they're roughly at Murphy's level. They're good 'gets'....

He/she posts "inside info" occasionally, and has generally been accurate. He doesn't tell us how he knows, but generally, he seems to know (in this case, unfortunately)....
