Don't get me wrong -- I totally get why we think next year is a rebuilding year. I just wonder if we'll be pleasantly surprised. I still think we can be at the top of the league even with the team we'll have....

Pretty sure we said this last year around this time.
I won't believe we're rebuilding until it actually happens....

When you are a non-blueblood program like Quinnipiac, you need to find different ways to be successful. We recruit very well, and we also recruit out of the portal well. I wouldn't trade the 2023 national championship for fewer players leaving -- in fact, the reason most of these players are on the...

Way too early to say right now. Have to wait and see what the roster looks like. We're always (at least) very good, so I imagine we'll be just fine. I wouldn't have called us a national title contender this year -- those seasons, as we've seen, are few and far in between and it's unreasonable to expect...

Such a disappointing way to give up the 4th goal with the inability to get the puck deep, then BC immediately brings it down and scores. And the OT goal is so disappointing, too. But I was so impressed with Vinny these last two games. The goaltending was fantastic. He made a number if incredible saves...

I know no one wants to hear from a Quinnipiac fan in here right now, but on this point -- it's not necessarily about the non-drafted players, it's about how you develop those players. Yaniv Perets was our goalie last year, he was undrafted but became the biggest FA on the market; signed with Carolina...

It's not just college hockey, this happens in the Stanley Cup playoffs all the time. When teams are relatively even, look at how often the team who needs the win more gets it. It's so much easier said than done to manufacture the intensity that your...

Agreed -- I only saw the first period, but there was a severe lack of effort on the ice. That just can't happen. I definitely expect we'll see something different next weekend.
This has been a really good season. Obviously not as good as last year, but it's still tied for the 6th most wins...

One thing I've learned over the years watching and covering hockey: It is incredibly hard to end a team's season when you're not also at risk. Being this good has its perks -- mainly, last year. But the Whitelaw will always be difficult for us when we've already clinched a spot in the NCAA's and the...

Did some playing on the Pairwise Predictor ... looks like these are our most likely scenarios:
Lose in the ECAC Semifinals: 9 seed
Lose in the ECAC Final: 7 seed
Win ECAC Tourney: 6 seed. There's also a chance of moving up to 5 if Denver beats North Dakota in the NCHC final....Last edited by ZYanksRule; 03-20-2024, 10:08 PM.
