Good news ... as the Tirone/Clark/Robinson quandary for the next 2 seasons becomes more and more a reality ...

This. Lots of work to find some quality D to fill the blanks in this recruiting season..Looking forward to having Liam D join us. 'Watcher/ CHC... where's Nick Nonis in this mix? He comes next year or is there 'no room in the Inn' for him? Wondering...

You keep mentioning MacAndrews, but don't you mean MacAdams instead?

Watcher - your thoughts on the MacAndrews pick-up? I'd agree with your assessment of Souza (and not Stewart) attending Robertson's signing as an indicator he is definitely the lead assistant and there is likely truth to his heir apparency. So this seems to be his first domino. MacAdams seems like a solid, if unspectacular start for The Souza era...??

If they're out working the USHL - I'd love for them to find UNHs first foreign born recruit in '99 Eeli Tolvanen (Sioux Falls)...

Love the photo. Coach Umile has his car keyes on the table, as if he's double parked outside. You can barely see the gun Souza is holding to Robinson's side while he's signing.

You're right, MacAnderson is a solid, if unspectacular signing. My general philosophy was more McCloskey (go for the top end kids and fill rest late with extras) than Borek (sign a bunch of extras early).
Let's see if there is any big splash coming down the pike, either for the D this year, or down the road, a core for his first 2018-2020 years.
                    The Souza record:
                    15-16 10th place
                    16-17 10th place
                    17-18 11th place

                    21-22 9th place

Just tweaked your post a bit there, Dan. Langway and a horde of flustered Canadians made me do it.

With the various NLI's signed/announced ... what to make of Charlie Kelleher not being among them?

Wondered the same thing myself and I know I keep asking about Nick Nonis...coz you know, we need D. Still a few more (2 exact) days left for NLI's then it's into April to August (ugh) we go to see who else shakes out....BTW a question, when a player does sign, do they have to come the next year? (how long does the NLI stay in affect?)

Haha, fair point - I guess Canada is only unofficially the 51st state!

Not sure on Kelleher - and he may still sign. I'm sure he'd love to play with his brother, but he is still young, slight and not the truly dynamic talent Tyler is. He wouldn't be a bad candidate for another year in Juniors. I could easily understand whatever decision they make...

If he does come - the Kellehers would be the first brothers to play together at UNH since the Haydars. And before them, the Morrows. And before them, Greg probably knows (if any) but I am not that old!

Much of what I've read/heard indicates Nonis is a walk-on, therefore no NLI and no announcement until he signs an aid agreement upon official acceptance academically at UNH...

No NLI doesn't mean he's not coming, but I also wouldn't look at him as a savior for the D. For the next couple seasons UNHs defensive success lies mainly in the development of the current group...
