My point is that he has no business jumping on the radio talking about another agent's client. Period. I have no beef with him as a person...don't even know him. Abbott is a couple of days (hopefully more) away from signing a pro contract. If you're saying that giving out details (yes, those are details that had not been heard before) about a players health - particularly involving a concussion - wont impact NHL teams' view on him, you don't know what you're talking about.

I'm done with this thread....like talking to a brick wall.

Kind of an honest question here. Do pro teams sign kids to a contract without getting them checked out by their own doctors?

Was this concussion supposed to be a secret? No pro teams would have known about it if this guy didn't talk about it on talk radio in Maine? Are any NHL personnel listening to radio in Maine anyway?

By the way, you probably should wait until your crystal meth high dies down before posting again, ok?

Mangene has had interest from a dozen or so clubs. With guaranteed money, he could be a flight risk. I personally don't think he's ready, but he could jump after the season.

Jeez, I agree, he seems no where near ready to me... I'm sure his age could have something to do with it, though.

I really hope Abbs can go, and it's not about Maine winning or losing. If anybody deserves to play at least one NCAA game in his career, it's Spence.

OK not to sound like a brick wall:p....I get the fact you don't like what he said because he's a player agent and Abbott isn't his client. But I still don't get how him saying the team doctors cleared him to play affects how NHL teams look at him. The fact that he's healthy is a good thing right? And the same thing will be reported on every sports cast tonght on the 6pm news. So I'm guessing anyone he's dealing with is gonna know he's OK to play. If he were giving out details that wouldn't ever be known or private medical information thats one thing. I guess since I'm not an agent I don't get it.

what you said... PLUS, if you read what WHitehead said in the BDN about Abbott NOT being cleared... makes me wonder

During the regular season I generally think of you guys as a bunch of knuckle dragging, flannel wearing, road kill eating, slow talking goons but today I wish you the best of luck! :) Seriously, I hope Maine kicks some butt tonight.

The more info we have the better. Makes for better chatter. Does Hockey East have a concussion policy?? Who are they to overrule Maine's doctors, if true?? At the very least its interesting, though I agree with Wally, err with cautiom with the coconut.

Prolman doesn't know $hit. He doesn't represent Abbott. The last thing he should be doing is getting on a radio show talking specifics about Abbott and his injuries and what condition he's in. The kid is trying to sign a deal for a lot of money and he has to deal with that loser spewing about him on a radio show??? I'll bet Abbott's agent (who has been a certified NHL player agent for over 30 years, by the way, unlike Prolman who just became one last year) is making his way to Bangor right now to shut Prolman up. He's messing with a kid's future..

Drama queen.

Now you're talking like a brick wall, some guy on WJAB radio in Portland knows way more than Spences Medical records or the NHL team physician. You'd think Spence would have to pass a Physical before he even signs a contract??

Lurked here for a while. It took almost a month and a half for my registration to go through. Either way, great to see us back in it!

after what Prolman said, I am pretty sure he barely has a chance as a walk on with the Memphis River Kings... at least he will get to play with David Wilson again

One game in the books and my hopes and dreams of a perfect bracket are shattered. :o

But it's OK. I did opt for the potential suicide of having Carr and UML come out of that region. Double-:o
