On Saturday, the Omaha Lancers lost to the Waterloo Black Hawks 5-1. Mark Miller had no points or penalties. Omaha lost the best-of-five playoff series is 3-1. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...gameid=1908044

    Miller's line is now 4-0-1-1-2.
    total 61-11-10-21-45.

And thus ends the season of our last known recruit playing.

Miller had the second-most SOGs for Omaha in the series but did not score. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...&seasonid=8558

I am assuming that Omaha is no longer trailing in the series 2-1 but has been eliminated 3-1. Thereby ending the season for our last recruit playing.

When I was out today, I thought that I might have forgotten to update that, but I forgot to look when I returned.

The USHL futures draft is tomorrow, Charles Manley is the only known RPI recruit eligible to be selected being a '96. (Drew Melanson was selected in last years futures draft by the Omaha Lancers in the 3rd round)

              http://www.oursportscentral.com/serv...es/?id=4393770

Id love to see what Melanson can do in the USHL next season but I have a feeling he'll be back with Delbarton for his senior year. Im also curious to find out where Jake Wood lands in 2012-13.

I suspect that Melanson will indeed be back at Delbarton.

I suspect that Manley isn't going anywhere either. but it would be nice if the Selects Hockey Academy would post boxscores or at least season stats.

How does the selection process work for USNDT? I wonder if Manley would be trying out for that...

The USNDT invite to tryout camps whomever they want with the correct birth year. The player then decide if he is interested enough to go, and if selected decides if they want to spend two years in Michigan. Some players are selcted without going to a camp.

Do you now if Manley is at all good enough? I have seen nothing significant about him on the internet this season (besides for his commitment to RPI).

I'm not sure. He's a bit small for a D-man, though, so he may not get an invite. I wonder if he's one of those offensively-minded D-men similar to Bailen or Brutlag (obviously he went to forward).

He is still 15, so he could grow quite a bit. He might even have during the year.

the last conversation with the one who would know told me they're looking to find the best fit for Wood on a USHL team. Perhaps after Saturday's banquet we'll know.

He is still 15, so he could grow quite a bit. He might even have during the year.
This is very true. I know I grew at 15. Though not on the dimensions we would like to see Manley grow.

Two weeks old, but I hadn't checked. Jason Kasdorf won three Des Moines awards http://www.bucshockey.com/leagues/ne...leagueID=12551

Id love to see what Melanson can do in the USHL next season but I have a feeling he'll be back with Delbarton for his senior year. Im also curious to find out where Jake Wood lands in 2012-13.
Last I had heard during the season-Melanson was almost certain to be at Delbarton next season. But there was some talk during the season of his being elsewhere. Since he finished the season on the injury list-not much was said during the last few games so I am guessing the situation is the same.
