I see that their backup goalie Hamby played today.
From what I have seen from the three Adrian games I've attended this season, their number one guy, Shackell, is the stronger net minder...

We got our asses kicked. Simple as that. The score was indicative of the game.

And I think Pete is fairly accurate regarding the goaltenders.

Adrian was simply outplayed today. MSOE was much more physical and didn't allow the Bulldogs to get any real flow to their game. MSOE blocked all kinds of shot and their goalie did not give up my rebounds of the ones that did get through. MSOE was the better team on the ice today. The Bulldogs need to regroup and take care of business the rest of the way out. They are still sitting at the top of the league and that's the best place to be. The gap has closed but Adrian has their outcome in their own hands and don't have to rely on anyone else to help them out.

The Bulldogs will get it together and we have to remember they are still learning how to play together with so many new players on this year's team. Both goaltenders have been playing well it makes for nice competition between them.

On to Lake Forest for next weekend. I have a feeling that Adrian and MSOE will be playing again before the season is over.

We'll see. If Adrian handles their business with Lake Forest, Concordia, and Finlandia (their remaining schedule now), MSOE will have to go through Marian before dealing with Adrian, assuming we make it through our half of the bracket.

Norwich vs UNE, Norwich wins 6-0. UNE couldn't stay out of the sin bin, it was almost ridiculous, as soon as their player left the box, another would get called for a penalty. 5 out of 6 goals for NOrwich were power plays. Game got really ugly in the third, hope Norwich didn't lose any more players to injuries due to the dirty play. Thomas was a target for some aggressive play, and he and Fulton took matching penalties in the last few minutes of the game. I understand that UNE was frustrated with not being able to keep up with the Cadets, BUT playing dirty and uncontrolled only hurts your team more. Their coach needs to get a handle on his players especially the guy who elbowed Tory Allen in the head right in front of the net (3rd period toward the end)... he should have gotten tossed for that.

Speaking of injuries, poor Emmond Bell broke his leg last night blocking a shot, just before he got the puck and scored the short handed goal. Absolutely incredible that he played through the pain to score the goal. It is a stress fracture so maybe he will be back for the play offs.
