The Freep doesn't post here anymore, so it's not that relevant anyway.

Banished to the fanboy echo chamber by the likes of a 15 year old. Ouch.

I, for one, have missed the gossip about err reporting of random hook ups and non-flirty boys which has coincidentally diminished since she left.

Maybe quackquack can regal us with his tales of jersey chasing instead to fill the void

I know that Cisse was benched for indifferent play, of late. However, he was dressed and epoxied to the bench for the first period. He was nowhere to be found for the third period. Does anyone know what transpired?

heard rumor he got dressed and left the rink after the second, his decision not team's.... hope that was not the case

welcome back and thanks for the info. hopefully if this is the case, it's not a running problem between him and the team.

Ithe atmosphere will never be the same as WBA...

For me, anyway, it's not that I want to REPLICATE the atmosphere at WBA. I'd settle for a little ENTHUSIASM. Obviously the acoustics are not conducive to reproducing the type of sound that bounced around (and off the corrugated metal ceiling) WBA, but maybe if a few (just a few... :) ) fans (excluding the students, obviously) would actually STAND and YELL once in awhile it might be nice, instead of sitting there as though they were half dead. Why bother to come if it's going to make you miss your daily nap? Geesh...

We did, particularly at Bunyon on Saturday, quite a bit. Then an elderly group in the row in front of us rudely turned around and told us all to shut up and called my friend, who wishes to remain nameless, obnoxious. That's what you get for adding enthusiasm to the atmosphere. The whole night they all looked like they were sitting at a lecture. For me, I'm a little irked that BU chooses to promote this with an emphasis on "family friendly" entertainment, which I've always felt adds to the watered down atmosphere conducive to the lecture-esque, "keep it down!" feelings of some. Sure, it's great to see lots of kids at the games, but I'd hardly call Division 1 men's hockey a "family friendly" atmosphere in general, both in terms of the physical nature of the sport, and hockey fans tending to not be ones that sit on their hands and casually enjoy a game.

I agree with this. Saw a game at the Alfond a couple weeks ago and the entire crowd there was really into it. I'd like it if more people would join in on the cowbell chant or SOMETHING simple like that.

He just took off his stuff and walked out of the rink? I can't imagine there won't be serious repercussions for this, no matter what the reason he has, if this is true....

Not to be too combative, but that's a pretty serious allegation to make unless it is founded on some evidence. Do you have any proof to suggest this is what actually happened? The guy's not here to defend himself and clear his name if you're wrong

IIRC, you're newer to the BU thread. 3hock has proven on every single occasion that his info is 100% correct and on point. He broke the news of Gilroy returning for his senior season months before anyone else had it, among other information that was incredibly "inside", and had it before any news organization had it. At every turn, his information has been spot on. If you notice, he was careful to write that he heard a rumor, making it clear that it was a rumor and not proven fact. On this thread, his information is taken as correct and there is no need for second guessing or backing up of claims.

No problem, it's understandable since he so rarely posts that someone who hasn't followed this thread would misunderstand his context. But take a look through his post history, he's also been the first to definitively report on nearly every player who's left early over the past few years, and had it right every single time.

Really?

Check the post history, when he posted something as fact, not as a possibility or a rumor, it happened. Thus, his post from this morning, which is a rumor he heard, should be taken as something worth noting. Unlike your demonstratively wrong posts about handshake protocol.

That said, after doing some of my own searching, there seems to be something afloat with Cisse. I don't really know what, just some very vague twitter posts that would suggest he's upset about something. Very strange and makes no sense, he's been in the lineup consistently since he got back from injury and has for the most part, played very well.

I think what hokydad is referring to is the fact that he and the BC hockey blogger were the first to report on Trivino and Coyle.

Nope, you are still wrong.

As apparently were the dynamic duo of Keenan & Benedetto when they called just the Embellishment on Steven Whitney at the game at BC in December. Whitney wasn't amused at the time and let them know it which lead of course to an additional 10 Minute Misconduct.

The goalie knocking the cage loose is a mainstay of BU goalie training. My favorite was Larocque. He'd crouch down and back inside the goal. He would stand up to make a move thereby "accidently" dislodging the net with his back. :D

I didn't say he's been right on everything that has happened to the program since he started posting back in 2008, I said every thing that he has reported as a fact, he's been first, and right. Before today, he hadn't posted since April of last year.
