          Looks like Baby Jesus is out for the season. Read somewhere that the knee problems may be a genetic issue and not necessarily from a specific injury.

          Needless to say, this was one recruiting battle that it might have paid not to land the player.

          Either way, you hate to see a great player go through this and I hope the surgery fixes the issues.

            Where did you read that it was a genetic issue? He got hit with a shot in the kneecap in practice before the season.

            I'm sure Gwoz is very psyched to have lost the Grimaldi recruiting battle

              I don't think it is genetic but it is a defect that affects 6% of the population as they grow.

                Interesting. I'm not a medical doctor, and it didn't say in the article, but I'm curious if the surgery will help correct that issue. Either way, Grimaldi will be sorely missed, as he was our most dynamic player in the four games he played this season.

                  The weird thing is that he only has it in one knee and that is the knee that got hit. It appears most people don't know they have it as it is usually symptom free. Trauma to the area is what causes the problems which many times goes away with rest. When it doesn't go away, surgery is sometimes performed. Obviously it wasn't getting better and hopefully the surgery will take care of it. Don't know how long the recovery is.

                              After all of last night's games DU at #13 in PWR, that is a playoff spot. Big series in UAA next weekend. DU all alone in 5th in the WCHA.
