2 weeks in the books! Time for week 3! We've got a heck of a week ahead of us.
And as a reminder of the scoring here: I'll ask you to respond by indicating your predicted winner in BOLD, with the number of goals you anticipate each team scoring written at the end of the line, like so:
Norwich v. St. Michael's 7-3
Babson v. Castleton 4-1
(winner's score, followed by loser's score)
Following the conclusion of all games in a given week, I will tally the scores based on the following rules:
0 points if your team loses or ties
2 points if your team wins
4 points if you correctly pick a tie
-1 to your total for predicting an opposite score (loss)*
+4 to your total for predicting an exact score (win OR tie)
*Opposite score means if you predict Norwich will win 7-3, but they in fact lose 7-3.
Therefore:
Loss, opposite score: -1 points
Loss or unpredicted tie, different score: 0 points
Win, different score: 2 points
Predicted Tie, different score: 4 points
Win, exact score: 6 points
Predicted Tie, exact score: 8 points
Any posts that are posted or edited after puck-drop of a game that is included in that post will be completely invalid (i.e. NONE of your predictions will be scored). So, if you're late and 1 or 2 games have already started: don't even predict them.
After the 3rd week of this competition, no new entries will have their scores tabulated. You may participate, but you will not be eligible to win, nor will your name or score appear on the rankings. THIS IS WEEK 3. This week is the deadline to join the competition.
Oh, and the NESCAC teams are finally joining us in the season! As I've said, I will be including 1 NESCAC game each week. 15 games on this week's slate. That's a maximum of 90 points, and a minimum of -15! This is going to be a big week!
