"Sophomore Lynn Astrup has become the latest Warroad hockey player to commit to North Dakota for her college career, beginning in the 2013-14 season. She joins four teammates headed to Grand Forks: Layla Marvin and Shelly Amslie-Benzie who will be freshmen this fall and Lisa Marvin and Kayla Gardner who begin their college careers in 2012."

Don't believe there is a 2013-2014 commitment thread yet.
I think that the quote from the article is wrong on the dates; Lisa Marvin and Kayla Gardner are currently juniors, so that should make them college frosh in 2013, and if Astrup is a sophomore now, she should be three years away from UND. So for this thread,

      UND
      Kayla Gardner ..................F..............(Warroad HS)..............Warroad, MN
      Lisa Marvin.......................F..............(Warro ad HS)..............Warroad, MN

I'm not aware of either playing for U18 to date; correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry Hux, the mention of Kate Flug to Minnesota was sitting higher in my post. I should have been more consistent in how I displayed them.

Katie Matheny (Team Pittsburgh) to Ohio State.

Talk about an exciting day for the whole family! Dad gets hired as general mgr for the cardinals, her brother gets a ride to Missouri State and Katie gets a ride to Ohio State. All on the same day! Time to buy a lottery ticket!

                    Re: 2013-2014 D1 Commitments

New to site, but was wondering who the top New England prep players in this class were. Obviously names like Daniels from Westminster and Mastel from Choate stand out, but I was seeing if anyone had any input on some of the other schools around there that may not have as much talent as Westy, Nobles, or Tabor. There obviously may not even be any Division 1 talent on some of the other lower tier teams, but they also don't get as much hype as some of the others. Anyone have some of the best talent in the prep league and what select teams they play for?

Are you asking about 2012 or 2013?

2013 - The best juniors, at least I thought Daniels and Mastel were juniors, but I could be wrong.

Here is a list of the Assabet Valley U16 and U19 2013 Grads, where they play prep school hockey, and their National Development Camp and U18 National Team status. They are all top players on their prep school teams and have Division 1 potential (grades of course being a major factor depending on the school).
