  • Big Ten, NCHC, WCHA Status Check In - So Far

With three weeks into the 2011-12 season, let's take a quick peak at the three new leagues for 2013-14 and how they are doing. Remember folks, the Big Ten and NCHC basically declared themselves to be the best of the best in college hockey and "super", while the other teams were garbage....

    Big Ten 14-9-1 (Win % 60%)
    NCHC 19-17-6 (Win % 52%)
    WCHA 33-17-4 (Win % 66%)

Wow, it's very, very early....but hmmmm. interesting...I believe the WCHA is 10-6-1 against the "super" NCHC thus far as well.

The real test is going to be what these records are 5-10 years from now.

I wish someone would have thought of that idea for a thread a few weeks ago.

This is THE State of Hockey. Check your teams roster. I bet there are some Minnesotans on it

To be truly accurate, the Big 10 simply created their league once they had enough members playing it. The NCHC deemed themselves too good for the WCHA and CCHA.

No no ... this one is different. That one only looks at WCHA vs AnyBLThc school.

And at least one school had no choice. (psssst, it's MN)
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

What matters is how many teams make the NCAA tourney at the end of the year..
