It's absolutely shocking that the AP would let a typo (USHLL) through!

Typo? United States Hippie Lettuce League? I think not.

Forward Hip E. Lettus to take Leaverton's spot on CC roster.

Too bad he couldnít find a roster spot on a team in the future BHHC.

Typo? United States Hippie Lettuce League? I think not.

They also missed the improper use of the word 'sighting' ('citing'), as well as the third-grade structure of that last sentence.

In addition to sighting the 'incredible opportunity' to play for the Tigers, Lettus stated, "Colorado Springs boasts several 24-hour eateries and an abundance of retailers who sell top end glass and ceramic pieces of art" were major keys to his decision.

The editor must be a DU fan. :D

All kidding aside...I think it was Jarrod Mermis who probably sealed the fate of Leaverton.

Actually i think i am going to the Gulls/Mudbugs game 7 tonight in Loveland. CHL playoff format here is 2-3-2 and the EGulls are the higher seed. If DaViz is right - i have been working in the hills pounding ground - i could start driving or watch it on Atlatltitude.

Hey does anyone know what happened to that Blue Chip recruit that was supposed to go to Princeton, but changed his mind when the coach signed with Penn State?

Ya I guess. Unless you are a Michigan State fan!!

Player he is referring to is Zach Hyman. He's the Canadian Junior Player of The Year
Top player from Canada going into the NCAA this year.

Oh well, I guess we can't get them all. Looks like we have a great class coming in, so I can't complain. Princeton must be bummed though, wow!!

Congratulations to Virginia on its dominating win over the Pioneers. The Cavaliers grabbed an early lead, never looked back and left no doubt as to which was the better team in today's game.

Congratulations to the Pioneers on a wildly successful 15-3 season which included the school's first two wins in the NCAA tournament. It surely looks that under Bill Tierney's guidance the Denver program and future teams are headed in the right direction. I hope this season's success marks the beginning of the Pioneers being a prominent force annually on the national lacrosse scene.

It would be nice to see Coach Tierney continue to raise the calibre of teams Denver plays in its non-conference schedule. I'm confident if Denver could enter into some home and home contracts with powerhouse teams from the ACC that crowds would gather to watch such games in Peter Barton Stadium.

Job well done gentlemen and good luck to the squad in 2012!
