This is the kind of response you get when you go against this administration for anything. This doesn't surprise me in the least really and you could ask quite a few parents over the past six years, not just the ones with lazy kids as this person says.

What if it was your kid that got cut for no reason, despite being one of the most talented ones out there, because he wouldn't "play ball" for this coach? There is a "good old boy" network up there, from the college, through to the town, the media, the broadcasters, that will stop at nothing, and when the chips are down, will ask nothing when it comes to this coach and the lack of success, and at times embarrassments on and off the ice.

Look at how you people treat Frank Anzalone and the names you people call him and his family members. This was the man that put your little college and village on the map, won you three national championships, and this is the best you can come up with. It is sad, very very sad and you people should be ashamed of yourself and your blind, loyal allegiance, for whatever crazy reason, to this coach, yet are almost gleeful when things don't go Frank's way. Yet another season of bottom division finishes with this coach is ok, and soon finishing behind Bentley, Grand Valley or whatever other school you will be in a league with.

You people are so predictable.

The Truth Is Out There....Maybe your kid would have made the team if you had hugged him more as a kid. ;)

Don't feed the trolls, hungry as they may seem.
But he said bad things about Grand Valley.

Do you get the feeling everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop?

I hope this silence from the Hill is because the administration is working feverishly to sell LSSU to the WCHA -- and not merely on vacation.

So I will ask you all this.... the haves of the ccha .... mich msu miami and even osu are gone.... nd is trying to leave.... the haves of the wcha nd col coll minne wisc den and umd are all gone so why is the wcha with all the have nots any better then a ccha/aha merge? Either way isn't it "d2" I would argue that the teams left in each conference are normally the bottom 1/2 of their respective leagues...

Tooth Squid,

The difference is the arenas. A CCHA/WCHA merger keeps the Lakers in a league with solid buildings for hockey, and stronger programs overall. Going to the AHA puts the Lakers in buildings that make the Pullar look like The Joe. Just the aesthetics alone make it worth it.

Now go listen to my music, before I have to pummel you with more common sense! :)

Frank is gone that is the truth, but so is the presitige of your program and the downward spiral ever since Jim Roque took over the helm over six years ago. Embarrassments on and off the ice, and now faced with crowds of under 1800 almost the entire second half of last season and in actuallity only about 350 fans for a Friday night playoff game against a Big 10 school, all the empty seats live on national television.

You people will fit right into the Atlantic Central Collegiate Hockey Conference in 2013.

So the 280 win percentage frank had with lazy ***** kids like sellers didn't contribute to the decline? Yeah it did. Neil still big arena or small the level is the same 1500 at minn mankato or 1500 at robert morris? Its about the skillz on the ice something truth sellers would know nothing about.... the tooth is out there...

Okay, Truthy, you'll have to make up your mind. The week after the playoff series you claimed the Lakers couldn't even draw 2,000 to a nationally-televised game. You said they had something like 1,400 there. You even posted a picture of a 3/4-empty arena out east that a Div III program plays in, trying to pass it off as the Taffy Abel.

A few months ago you claimed the Lakers drew 800 to that game. Now, it's 350 fans.

If you're going to live in a fantasy world you still have to be consistent.

And as far as the Lakers go, if they play in front of one fan during a game this year, they will play in front of one more fan than Saint Frank will coach in front of this year.

Quack, quack.

If the kid was such a good hockey player, where has he played since LSSU? I've seen plenty of players get cut for whatever reason that still went on and continued to play. And that great coach, he's one game over .500 in 4 seasons since leaving LSSU. Impressive.

What happens if the Atlantic Hockey schools all say no to the CCHA? Does it mean death to us, Ferris, BGSU, and UAH?

Not quite death, but more likely a merger with WCHA I think. not really all that pretty looking then, and weren't then stuck with the problem of their being no room for growth in College hockey. Big Ten is only going to be bringing in other Big Ten schools. And the NCHA is after schools that can really raise their profiles, so its going to have to be a really big school from like the PAC, Big XII-2, or even the SEC perhaps. And then if a smaller school like MSU-Moorhead does get that 40 million raised, they're either stuck trying to talk a 12 team WCHA into letting them in for 13 schools.

Frankly, my proposal that I've posted in the CCHA-WCHA Merger thread would work out a lot better for all parties involved in the west, a lot of it just kinda hinges on what ND does and the AHA schools saying yes to the CCHA.

You want impressive in the past four seasons your coach Jim Roque has won 49 out of 153 games. Yet you people defend him to the end and put down, ridicule and make wild theories and accusations of anyone on here that dares question his record, coaching ability and ethics. Then again that sound just like him, so that really shouldn't be surprising.

When you realize that they aren't defending Jim Roque? They're just pointing out that Crazy Frank really isn't what he used to be. I've rarely seen they point out anything in regard to Roque when stating their cases. You're just unjustly associating their rebuttal with backing up Jim Roque.

If you're going to throw out some numbers, you should at least try to be intellectually honest enough to compare apples to apples. Davy's post indicated that Frank was one game over .500 in his 4 years after leaving LSSU; for winning percentages (decimals, if you like), ties don't count in the calculation and didn't figure into Davy's number. So when you throw out numbers for Jim Roque, be honest enough to exclude ties if you're going to compare his record to Frank's, and there have been 29 Laker ties the last 4 years. We all know that statistics can be sliced and diced different ways to make things look better or worse than they really are, heck the government does that all the time, and you obviously are trying to make Roque look as bad as you can. Roque has had 49 wins out of 124 games (just under 40%) in the past 4 seasons where a game didn't end in a tie. Is that good enough? No it isn't, but it's a more honest comparison than the one you posted.

02-03: 6-28-4 (.211)

Now where in the post did I even mention Jim Roque, much less defend him? But his record does compare quite favorably to Frank, part II. Oh, and let's look at Frank's overall record at LSSU: 223-205-41, 12 seasons, 18 games over .500, an average of 1.5 games over .500 per year. Masterful. And where is that stud kid who got cut for no reason playing? Must be in the NHL if he was that good? Maybe the "A?"

So Bill since you are so "intellectually superior" from anyone else on here, tell me where I am wrong where I said that Jim Roque has won 49 out of 153 games in the past four seasons? I know you will defend him at all costs, but if we are to have an "intellectually honest" conversation I would hope that you are unbiased enough, and that is doubtful, to admit that fact is true. Wow Bill I knew you were pretty well biased but now tie games don't count against this coach. Give me a break!

And if we are having "honest comparisons" why don't you people include the three National Championships and record by Frank Anzalone in the 1980's when he put your little college on the map and people actually knew where you little village was.

And Bill didn't you have my comments blocked? Go back and tell us the recruits for the 2013-14 season and when Bentley and Mercyhurst come to the Norris Center and quite embarrassing yourself by your blind love and admiration for this coach.

Frank won how many National Championships? Because when the Lakers won in 91-92, Frank was in Nashville, didn't win anything and was fired in mid-season. Then in 93-94, Frank was head coach at Roanoke and got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. And if he's so great, why was he fired at Newmarket, Nashville, Lowell, PeeDee, LSSU and not retained when Johnstown moved to Greenville, with the same management (Neil Smith)?

Let's say a team plays a 40 game schedule (counting postseason). They win 16 games, lose 8, and tie 16. Now admittedly that would be a highly unusual number of ties, but that team undoubtedly would finish in the top portion of their league standings, they won twice as many games as they lost, but by your logic you shouldn't think much of the coach because he only won 40% of the games. You detest Jim Roque and he won 40% (a hair under) of his games the past 4 seasons. And I knew you would call me a defender of Jim Roque after my previous post despite the fact that I stated that having a 40% winning percentage isn't good enough. Your hatred of Jim Roque has blinded you to any sense of "honesty" or "truth".
