The higher seeds all won in the quarters. Who will come out on top in the semis?

Why mess with a trend. All Red final.

I don't care who is in the final so long as its not Wisconsin. I'm hoping a WCHA free final so we don't have to hear about the all glorious WCHA anymore and every time someone brings up all "how much stronger the WCHA is", I can throw in in their face repeatedly that the WCHA is no longer the shiz that makes the earth go round. Holla.

Gophers...Badgers...Terriors...all critters with tails and four legs. Now an Eagle...a totally different animal! Go BC Eagles!!!.

So Wisconsin isn't your favorite team this week then? Is that because "Ky Ky" :rolleyes: is gone?

Yeah...let's see Stack break her stick over Duggan's head already...Duggan really deserves it...she's been askin' for it...woot woot! :rolleyes:

This really isn't that hard of a call to make. It's Wisconsin's title to win or lose. With all due respect to both Boston teams, neither has the tools to beat the Badgers and Cornell's been overrated all season.

If one team is going to do it, it would be BC with a Kaz-worthy performance from Stack and Schaus standing on her head, which she does with regularity.

Sorry Joe but I have to agree with Tony....while Stack has many counter-players equal to her talents, I don't believe Schaus has any left in the tourney....I haven't really seen a lot of Cornell but was impressed with their speed....with Martin out, and Raty gone, I think that Molly Shaus puts the NC along with her silver medal.....Wisconsin and Cornell, IMHO are by far the better teams but Schaus has kept BC in games all year that they might have lost....I think she keeps up the mojo....at least she graduates this year, although I herad last night that Bobby Carpenter's daughter will be there next year, and look out for her!

No, its because you're easier to play than Brown. :)

I am reasonably certain that the final teams will have some form of red on their uniforms.

So if Wisco wins will you proclaim the WCHA to be the finest league in the land? In return I am prepared to call a UW loss an upset of monumental proportions and still hold the WCHA out has the best league going:eek:

This Crimson supporter would love to see BC prevail. Having seen Schaus, Stack & Co these past five years has been a privilege and we know all too well that Schaus can pitch a 3-OT shutout if called upon!

Interesting angle on Ms Schaus and the big guns (Knight,Decker,Duggan) from Wisco. She faced Hillary & Meghan daily through the pre Olympic training and over the past two years in USA Hockey competition (4 Nations & Worlds). Additionally, played against through prep/high school. Believe Molly knows all 3 quite well. Likewise, they are familiar with Molly's tendancies. Advantage goalie?

A little Frozen Four trivia ...

Boston University is the 13th different program to advance to a Frozen Four, joining:

Dartmouth, 4 (2001,2003,2004,2005);
Minnesota-Duluth, 7 (2001,2002,2003,2007,2008,2009,2010);
Harvard, 5 (2001,2003,2004,2005,2008);
St. Lawrence, 5 (2001,2004,2005,2006,2007);
Niagara, 1 (2002);
Brown, 1 (2002);
Minnesota, 7 (2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2009,2010);
Wisconsin, 5 (2006,2007,2008,2009,2011);
New Hampshire, 2 (2006,2008);
Boston College, 2 (2007,2011);
Mercyhurst, 2 (2009,2010);
Cornell, 2 (2010,2011);
Boston University, 1 (2011).

As UMD's run of four straight FFs was snapped, Cornell has the longest active streak with two.

This is the first FF with neither of the Minnesota schools participating.

The 2011 FF has a more fresh feel than recent years; only Wisconsin has made more than one previous appearance. The last time that was true was 2003; UMD had been at both prior events, while Harvard, Dartmouth and Minnesota had competed at one.

And just because you all love hearing about the WCHA so much:p, since the league was formed in 1999-2000, there have been 12 national tournament games involving the last WCHA team left standing: Brown vs Minnesota, 2000; Harvard vs UMD, 2001; SLU vs UMD, 2001; Brown vs UMD, 2002; Dartmouth vs UMD, 2003; Harvard vs UMD, 2003; Dartmouth vs Minnesota, 2004; Harvard vs Minnesota, 2004; Dartmouth vs Minnesota, 2005; Harvard vs Minnesota, 2005; Mercyhurst vs Wisconsin, 2009; Cornell vs UMD, 2010. Unlucky #13 as BC meets Wisconsin?

Erie becomes the seventh city to host a Frozen Four. Previous championships were held in Minneapolis(3), Durham(2), Duluth(2), Providence, Lake Placid, and Boston.

Only by WCHA fan's.

Congrats RStarr and Brookyone, you just won the Dumbest Comment of the Forum Award for the Month of March. Let's talk about the actual tournament and not superstar female players acting like they play in the NHL. I'm sure Stack would be proud to have fans like you guys....NOT. Besides, Duggan would just use her soon to be awarded Patty Kaz as a shield. Woot woot to that!
