Exactly. The announcers even commented about it. There were two LSSU players standing in front of the net and no defenders. Heeter was left hung out to dry by his defensemen on that one. He probably should have stopped the second goal. I sincerely hope Coach Oz is bringing in some guys who know how to put the puck in the net. You don't win hockey games if you don't score. As Klbaum alluded to, if we don't correct the offensive issues, tomorrow will be the last game this season.

To give the guys a litle more credit I would question yet whether the 2 disallowed goals were good. Just because the refs didn't have a good line of sight on the play and the video review was inconclusive doesn't mean we didn't truly score. They don't have the broadcast camera video to help them, only the overhead from straight above the net.

Yeah the one at the south end didn't look like a goal but the one on the north end was too far away to tell. If oneor both of them would have counted it could have been a different ending.

CBS Sports is repeating the broadcast of the game right now. It's early in the 2nd period as I post this.

The Laker's goalie was on his game last night which made it hard for us but when you do have the open shot you need to place them where you need them, preferably in the corners of the net, not the goaltenders breadbasket. Shea Weber might be able to put one through a goal net but I never saw one go through a goalie eh? lol!

Well that's that! Mental mistakes and STUPID PENALTIES! Was Krough completely brain dead to commit the same major two weeks in a row?! Wonder how much of his a** Oz will have for that not to mention his bitc*ing at the officials as he was being escorted off ice. That's a no-no under any circumstance from a player. I couldn't tell which of our players it was who tried to blind clear the puck and basically just passed it to the Laker's in our zone and they scored their 2nd goal on it. Thought we had hope for awhile there scoring 2 with plenty of time left in the 3rd.

that was not a penalty he hit him from the side. The ref didnt even raise his hand untill he heard the bang from the boards that has to be one of the worst calls ive ever seen in a hockey game it didnt cost them the game but it did cost them a chance to tie it at the end. Congrats to Lake state they deserved to win this series scoring on chances and off turnovers in both games. Lipencott turned the puck over that led to that end goal. Both of the Lakers PPG came directly off of missed clearing attempts.

I believe you. Given the quality of the broadcast and watching on a 15 inch computer monitor a lot of detail escaped me. Then in that case which of the dufus brothers made that call, Wilkins or Sheggos? I admire your fortitude to make that trip to support the team, have a safe trip home.

Not to pile on this team because they had some good games this year, but after this series with Lake Superior, the sub-title of that other thread seems really appropriate ... "Nowhere to go but up."

I told you OSU fans you were a bit too confident coming into this series...seems your hockey team suffered from the same malady.

Nevertheless, keep your heads up, OSU, you have a burgeoning program that will one day be the envy of the CCHA.

I am pretty sure that Wilkins made that call.
