the one time I tried a pasty, it was a mismash of bland crust, boiled potatoes, and pepper. The end.

Worst food on the planet. The end.

Must be a hiccup. I refuse to believe that all stereotypes aren't true.

also, I'm Scandinavian and I love spicey stuff, I must be one of the odd ones.
liking spicy food has nothing to do with it...in case you didn't know, Scandinavia isn't exactly a warm place. And most spices actually came from the middle east and far east so scandinavian foods tend to be bland because thats what they had available to them.

It really wasn't obvious that facts have no place in this conversation?

Don't forget lye! Though, it isn't really used as a spice.

I think lye counts as a spice.

Really? In Lutefisk it isn't really meant as a flavoring agent. It's just used to "cook" it without heat. They soak it in the stuff until it would actually kill you to eat it.

I have a buddy from the Range who loves Finland more than people in Finland.

I like how this thread is hilariously off topic.

Who could love Finland? They have like the dumbest language ever. And all Finns suck. Except Eero Elo.
