So your logic in comparing states is to pull in a team that resides outside the state? How can I compete with that?

edit: how's this...
Last year I was a saints fan. The year before that I was a steelers fan, and the year before that I was a giants fan. Therefore WI sucks because they only have one SB to my 3.

You can be a front runner if you want. I only brought up the Hawks as a response to the "How's the NHL team in WI doing?" crack. They weren't part of my initial point (such as it was) and they don't need to be. We're just better than you in Sports (and life).

Just let the doofus believe his drivel. This particular bickerfest has run out of its entertainment value.

Agreed. It very quickly changed from fun to annoying.

Uh, Mark Johnson lead the team in scoring. If it's not him, it's Eruzione or Craig. Which of those two went to Minnesota?

I'l take Herb Brookes for $100.

Doofus?

Drivel?

This coming from the fan base that claims we all drink thinner and molest dead animals?

You're only sick of the bickerfest coz you can't win it. :p

I love Gopher week. So few of you have a sense of humor.

He's an airline pilot for American (or United?) now. Can you imagine having Captain Al Secord come on the intercom or even better, coming back to deal with an unruly passenger?

"Welcome aboard American Airlines flight 307 to Detroit. Your captain today is Basil McRae..."

Awesome!

I hadn't heard that one.

You're co pilot today is Shane Churla......

What was that about drinking thinner again? Only in WI, correct? :D

You can't "win" a bickerfest with someone who's so deluded they live in their own little bubble and selectively picks "facts" in an attempt at trolling.

Conveniently, I'm including pro sports and talking about our entire state.

In addition, I'm only going back to, say, 1990. :D:p

Don't forget UW-Whitewater as we have all celebrated their run at the top of D-3 football and I believe St. Nortbert has had a good run in D-3 hockey including the D-3 title in 2008.

Didn't UMD win the Division 2 fb championship?

StarTribune Headline from Today - "Man found unconscious in Wis. with 0.559 blood-alcohol level"

I love when we play Becky Badgers...Sconi Fans make it so easy to make fun of them! I bet Chuck Schwatz could beat .559....some of the stuff he writes on his blog...that guy has to be light up 24/7. ;)

Yes.

Twice in fact.

As an illustration, a 150-pound man would have to drink 22 shots of 80-proof whiskey in two hours to get that drunk, according to an online blood-alcohol calculator

Pre-game for Becky fans.

For the purpose of this discussion, let's just agree to leave out all division 2 championships. :D

Yes, everyone else is just talking about the games and match-ups.

Now that's a dumb comment, but at least you're consistent. Please enlighten us on "all" the "top in-state athletes" we've lost to UW.

.

Ok. Derek Stepan, Ryan McDonagh, Jake Gardiner, Jamie McBain, John Stocco, David Gilraeth, Blake Sorenson, Beau Allen, Jordan Taylor, Jon Leuer, Kamron Taylor, etc, etc. over last 7 years. That's two 1st round and two 2nd round NHL draft picks, 3 All-Big Ten players, and two MN Mr. Basketball's, and Owantanna's Casey Dehn is suppose to be the Badger's next great OT. Granted two or three didn't have Gopher offers what does that tell about how your coaching staff evaluates talent?

And for the those that are poking fun that the Badgers don't have a baseball team, I'll take a wild guess that the UW women's hockey team outdrew the Gopher baseball team in attendance.(even excluding the 10,000 promotion game)

I think there might be someone on the hoops team too although his name escapes me, probably no one important, just a reserve or something...

Oh yeah, Jordan Taylor.

He's not all that good though.

doh! forgot about him. nice!
