But you are willing to put your formula out there. They will get to see how you came up with this.

Notre Dame winds up at #25. The Fighting Irish have been to 4 NCAA tournaments, all within the last 7 years. During that run, the Irish came within one game of a National Championship in 2008, but fell victim to the team of the decade in Boston College. Notre Dame struggled during its time in the WCHA, only winning 20+ games twice in the ten years it played in the league. Its early seasons in the CCHA were not very successful either, taking 12 years before they posted a 20+ win season. While last season was not kind to Notre Dame, Jeff Jackson has turned this program around. With more NCAA Tournament appearances on the horizon, and potentially more trips to the Frozen Four, Notre Dame is a team that could rise in these rankings. For now, they sit at #25.

I think most people understand this is one person's opinion - one based on a ****load of research and years of hard work - but still an opinion. Those who complain (seriously) only show the rest of us their ignorance/immaturity when they do so. There are only a handful of us who are willing to do the research into this, compile the data and share it publicly. This list took a whole lot of effort to compile and I hope people appreciate that. I also hope these projects encourage other people to compile their own lists using their own criteria.

I will certainly give kudos for taking the time and energy to put this together. Pretty neat list you have put out for all to view. Nice job!

Yale comes in at #26. The Bulldogs have been very impressive of late, posting back to back 20+ win seasons, both of which included trips to the NCAA Tournament. Yale is also having quite an impressive run this year. Given that, Yale's signature achievement to date is their 1952 Frozen Four appearance. They went another 46 years before making the tournament in '98, and then another decade to make their third appearance. Given their run so far this year, and their potential to make another Frozen Four or even a National Championship, Yale could certainly be moving up in this list. For now, they sit at #26.

Dartmouth lands at #24. The Big Green haven't been to an NCAA Tournament since 1980, but that could very well change this year. For Dartmouth, each of their 4 NCAA Appearances also were Frozen Four appearances. The Big Green advanced to back to back title games in the first two years that the tournament was played ('48 and '49) and then made back to back appearances in '79 and '80. The program has won a lot of games, but never more than 21 in a single season. That could very well change this season. For the Big Green to remain in the top 25, they will have to put up more NCAA Appearances.

                        #24 Dartmouth - 35.143 Points
                        #25 Notre Dame - 33.5788 Points

Miami comes in at #23. The Red Hawks have done more to improve their standing over the last 5 years than almost any other team. Prior to 2004, Miami had made the NCAA Tournament only twice. Since then, the Red Hawks have gone to the NCAAs six times in the last 7 years, and have made back to back Frozen Fours. The jewel in that run was their 2009 tournament, where the Red Hawks went all the way to the title game. While the Red Hawks have struggled a bit this season, they are on the cusp of another 20+ win season and another trip to the NCAA Tournament. If the Red Hawks continue at this pace, they will continue to move up the rankings. For now, they sit at #23.

                            #23 Miami - 36.9575 Points
                            #24 Dartmouth - 35.143 Points
