            Gentlemen

There is a problem - and a big one...

Compare the NCAA table found here: http://web1.ncaa.org/champsel_new/ex.../staticpdfrank
With the USCHO table found here: http://www.uscho.com/rankings/pwc/d-iii-men-east/

Notice that the SoS's are different. What I wonder is who is right? Absent anything to the contrary, do we go with the NCAA since they are the selecting organization?????

Update, but not for all. Salem State's being obvious (to me!) plus a few others. Anyone have any idea why??

The VH Satellite of Love appears to have been taken out by Soviet countermeasures, but our team has been working real hard on that.

EDIT: It seems to affect the MASCAC schools plus a few others. I'm smelling conspiracy (or is it the smoke from the room?).

They're not identical, but they are pretty close. COmparing a few that I looked at:

                    USCHO/NCAA

                    Elmira: .5782/.578
                    Utica: .5727/.572
                    Hobart: .5671/.567
                    Manhattanville: .5452/.543
                    Neumann: .5424/.542
                    Oswego: .5371/.537

The differences are pretty small. Even with Salem St, it's a difference of .011. Of course, that .011 could make a difference.

Maybe it's just that I've never played really close attention before, but I found it amazing that out 47 teams listed, only 7 have winning records against ranked teams (in-region).

                      Elmira 9-5-2
                      Oswego 8-1
                      Neumann 7-6-2
                      Plattsburgh 6-3-1
                      Castleton 4-2
                      Bowdoin 3-2
                      Salem St 2-1

                          Besides Salem
                          NCAA then USCHO

                          Plymouth St. .480/.488
                          Mass-Dartmouth .483 / .488
                          Fitchburg St. .495 / .490

                          Curry .457 / .464

These differences are not insignificant. I wonder if somebody did not report a score or two and that's what's throwing things off.
FOUND IT!! Fitchburg St. -- per NCAA 11-7-1; per USCHO 12-8-1

So USCHO is the more "correct" figure.

First thing I notice is that Utica has fallen behind Neumann and Castleton and that Plattsburgh has passed Norwich in the rankings.

Rennel says POOL "C" #1 Utica #2 Platty #3 Castleton Did it change ??

Platty 2-1 over UC in PWR Utica and Casleton tied at 1-1 ??
