I have to agree with Winters on this one. I liked the fire that Potts came back with Friday and Saturday and think he has the ability to keep the first line being productive.

Potts has come on strong lately with his insertion to the lineup. I'm not sure I put him on the top line at this stage during a playoff game. I like Burt's experience, at least to start.

I am going to stick with my Knowles opinion. The height thing was joke... Knowles imo plays very similar to Favot.

Favot is quick and a good passer. Knowles can be and was that way when he played Junior hockey, in fact he was a really prolific scorer then. Putting him on a line with Brenner I think would be beneficial.

And isn't it nice to have so many good lineup options? That shouldn't be a surprise from the deepst and most talented roster in Atlantic Hockey. I think Knowles' value to the PK makes him an unlikely switch to the front line for Favot, similar stature notwithstanding. With other lines clicking, and set up as they are, I see Lynch moving to center, and Smith/Colavecchia on the wing. In fact, I believe Lynch will make the move to center soon, as he's a bigger and more talented version of Favot. Remember, Smith played at BCA last year, and scored a goal on a nice wrister. Experience is so important.

Yep. Just as one example, if Zanette's DQ hadn't come in the last game of his collegiate career, Niagara would've been hurting to replace him in their next game.

I wasn't suggesting Potts be on the top line. Merely pointing out that for a guy who didn't get much of a chance to play all year, he has really done very well in the games he's played since that RMU game he had 2 goals in. Burt makes sense to move up for reasons already listed here, and the fact that we have guys like Knowles, Hartley, and Potts to fill in the other lines is a credit to our depth and makes losing Favot at least bearable.

So, how do we get 1500+ people, including a pep band, from Downtown to Henrietta in less than half an hour?

Drive your cars like you stole them!

All the Rochester cops will be too busy working the traffic details around BCA for there to be any enforcement in town. Now campus police on the other hand.........

I agree there, and I think he could be put on the #2 line for the UConn game. I think he would fit in well there.

I agree that it is extraordinary that the Tigers have so much depth. Many teams in the AHA especially would be in deep trouble if they lost their top scorer. I think RIT can survive the hit.

What exactly is a DQ & how long does it last? Sorry, new to this.]

A game DQ results in the player being removed from the ice, given a major penalty of some length, and being unable to play in the next game for the team.

Best bet is Hartley on the top line to replace Favot, then Colavecchia comes back to the third line with Mac and Mitchell. Smith in the lineup is no guarantee.

I think that we will see Burt on the top line replacing Favot on Friday. Burt had a great series against AIC. I think his game, especially this year where he is dishing off a ton of assists, is close enough to Favot's that he will mesh well with Lynch and Brenner.

I agree with Komey, I think the way Burt played this weekend shows that he has captured his playoff mojo. He is just one of those guys who always performs on the big stage and he seems to really love playing at Blue Cross...

If RIT gets a comfortable lead, which I think they will, respect to UCONN they have come a long way to make it to Blue Cross, but I don't see them hanging with RIT unless there goaltender has the game of his life, then I would want RIT to just skate away from UCONN rest of game so that the AHA Officials don't get another chance to mess with them. You do not want to lose a guy like Favot for Air Force or Holy Cross...

Someone should bring a sign to remind the AHA Refs on the ice that they have fulfilled their quota on DQs for this Tourament...

I disagree. I don't want to antagonize the officials any more than they already do, for fear of them taking it out on the ice..

I disagree for another reason! That is bad JUJU!!! I don't want to players listening to us b*tch about what happened! I want them to focuss on the game, not be angry about Favot.

Also... ummmm is anyone else really nervous about this game? I think UCONN is hott as of late... I hope our boys are up to it.

no new posts two days before a playoff game?

just wanted to point out that the '**** goalie' chant during the fiasco saturday night was fantastic. wouldn't mind hearing a variation of that instead of / after hearing his name during introductions.

While funny, that chant seems soo wrong.

It's all kinds of awkward, but the "Awwwwww" as he put his mask back on was hilarious.

Not as good as the Ma-do-lora chant after he taunted the AIC guy after the powerplay goal...but yes, it was good.

That was a great game all around. Bought my tickets for the weekend today, so I'm officially into hype mode!

I'm surprised the table that they had at the Ritter for the tickets was closed after the game. I would have thought that they would have sold a bunch of tickets then.
