What are the numbers of college hockey programs in all Divisions in the states that have them. Minnesota has 15 college hockey programs in D1 and D3(5 D1 in the WCHA) 9 in the MIAC and St. Scholastica in the NCHA(D3). Had 16 until Minnesota-Crookston dropped their program. My guess is its somebody out east with all of the D3 programs

Depends on how many tv channels each state gets, I suppose.

New York has 10 D-1 teams (11 if you want to count SU for the women), SUNYAC is its own conference of 9 schools in the state, I count at least 4 more in the other D3 conferences (Utica, Hobart, Hamilton, Elmira).

Add Skidmore and Manhattanville.

Don't forget about radio stations.

Puerto Rico
When I retire, and Puerto Rico is a state, I'm going to start a varsity team for UPR Muyaguez. There is a rink near them- the only permanent rink in the Carribbean.

There are only about 100 men's programs in the country; it wouldn't be hard to compile a list. I might do it if I get a chance sometime soon.
