Help save the endangered Suhaki. Register at www.suhaki.com and join the millions of concerned citizens. Watched the impassioned tributes from animal lovers Zach Parise and Dave Christian at http://www.youtube.com/SaveOurSuhaki. Then ask yourself, 'why does the NCAA want to drive this noble beast to extinction?'

NAME:

The Suhaki antelope are officially known as “Saiga Tatarica” or “Suhak” in Polish. “Suhaki” refers to two or more. The name is pronounced SOO-HA-KEE. Our favorite ice hockey team is known as “Sioux Hockey.” Their name is also pronounced SOO-HA-KEE. Coincidence?

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

The Suhaki live in cold climates, and have physical characteristics that protect them from the cold. Their coat is very thick and white in color in the winter. Their noses hang over their mouths to help them breath warm air during the cold weather. Our favorite ice hockey team that plays in Grand Forks North Dakota, known for its cold climate. The jerseys they wear at home are white in color, and they play indoors to help them breath warm air during the cold weather. Coincidence?

SOCIAL STRUCTURE:

The Suhaki form herds of thirty (30) to forty (40) animals, however during migration season, tens of thousands will travel together, forming part of one of the most spectacular migrations in the world. Our favorite ice hockey team has on its roster thirty (30) to forty (40) players, however during the regular season, tens of thousands of fans will travel together, forming part of one of the most spectacular sporting events in all of college hockey. Coincidence?

COMPETITION:

The Suhaki rut begins in the wintering grounds, with mature males becoming territorial. Fierce fights break out among rivals. Our favorite ice hockey team is known for its fighting nature among rivals as well. Coincidence?

ENDANGERED STATUS:

The Suhaki have recently become critically endangered. They may soon become extinct. Government involvement has been ineffective. The core identity of our favorite ice hockey team has also become critically endangered. It may soon become extinct. Government involvement has been ineffective. Coincidence?

Love the creativity, the nobility of purpose, and dedication to the cause!

The Suhaki play a vital role in maintaining the proper balance in the northern ecosystem. Without their ferocious, untiring efforts to preserve the beauty of the great white north, the tundra would be overrun by hordes of burrowing prairie rodents. We must save the Suhaki for our children, grandchildren and all future generations.

Put me down as a fan - very creative, and exactly what the NCAA deserves. Hey, if Banana Slugs can get voted in, why not Suhaki?

Make sure you get permission from Suhaki. Otherwise the NCAA will take this away too!

Pay them, be nice to them, do whatever it takes. Don't screw it up like the last time :D

You need to brush up on your horned antelopes of the Khazak region. :)

It could be a great mascot for the hockey team, but the name pun doesn't help the other UND teams as much...

Why do the UND faithful hate North American Horned Antelopes?

You say this as if UMD has 29 fans outside of hockey.

Are any of proceeds from shirt sales being used to protect the endangered communist antelopes?

The chances of that are about as good as Dirty getting his AIC jersey.

If they take the "Sioux" out of Fighting Sioux, wouldn't they have to take the "Dakota" out of North Dakota?
