The original question was if UND played dirty. To me, that's different than playing chippy. This guy doesn't even know what he's asking.

Well they always play dirty, too.

I'm not going to get in a p*ssing match with the Sioux defenders. I was just asking if their always chippy? Or just against the Gophers? I have watched them for thirty years (always against Gophers) and their ALWAYS chippy.

Just a heads up. They're...they're...

Did you think that the Gophers were chippy this weekend? Because they were. Are they ALWAYS chippy, or just against UND?

When the Sioux came to Omaha I thought both teams played like it was a play off series but I didn't see much dirty stuff going on. And they took their last second loss like men. No team is perfect. I've seen tons of dirty play by many teams including UNO. It usually goes hand in hand with frustration. When UNO played at minny there was some dirty stuff going on by both teams. I'm not looking forward to this coming weekend though.

Umm....."they're." Yes, UND is always "dirty/chippy." So now that your question has been answered what are you going to do? Call the police? Call the whaaahmbulance? Waste of a thread, everyone knows UND plays right on the edge and get's called for it.....except this last weekend with the suspect officiating (excluding Malone's hit and non-call).

Ever met a person who says they have 30 years of experience when in fact they have 1 year of experience 30 times?:)

BS. There is no other possible reason for posting what you did EXCEPT to start a p*ssing match.

You'd no doubt lose that match as well. We'd hold it in an elevator. :p

Since I have been told 10,000 times by real sue fans, the only thing that matters is raising a National Championship banner, you guys are complete failures, too. welcome to the club, chokers.

So about 1/10 of the amount of times Gopher fans have whined about how big and mean the Sioux are.

Actually, it's less than half the time, since we do have a winning record against you. Even big bad Woog managed to dominate the little sue back in the day.

But every time it does happen, numerous Gopher fans complain about UND being goons. Heck, the Sioux don't even have to win for Gopher fans to complain about it. Heck, the Sioux don't even have to play Minnesota for Gopher fans to complain about it. Witness: 75% of your posts.

Agreed. We might have to bring back the failure cheer. When I was at UND, we countered the rouser with...

F-A-I-L-U-R-E
Minnesota, Minnesota
Yeahhhhhhh, Chokers!

Or the University of Minnesota Golden Chokers, that was always a good one.

Saying that, at the end of the day, the MOST important thing is raising a National Championship banner. There are other important things such as WCHA Title banners, winning the Broadmoor and going to the NCAA Tournament. They just don't matter as much.

I find it funny that Gopher fans use this. First, over the course of 280ish games, Minnesota has a 5 game advantage, and that's been growing closer and closer to even and tipping UND's way over the last 5 years. In 5 years we'll see what the overall record is. Second, If you look at the history of the overall record, North Dakota has held the advantage longer, and it's switched between the two squads a dozen times.

Here is the series history and when it changed hands. Gophers have had the advantage since 1989:

Game 1: North Dakota (January 23rd, 1948 - 1 Day)
Game 2: Tied (January 24th, 1948 through January 20th, 1949 - 362 Days)
Games 3-5: North Dakota (January 21st, 1949 through January 28th, 1949 - 8 Days)
Game 6: Tied (January 29th, 1949 through January 5th, 1950 - 341 Days)
Games 7- 22: North Dakota (January 6th, 1950 through February 6th, 1953 - 1,126 Days)
Games 23-24: Tied (February 7th, 1953 through January 7th, 1954 - 334 Days)
Games 25-31: Minnesota (January 8th, 1954 through January 26th, 1956 - 748 Days)
Game 32: Tied (January 27th, 1956 - 1 Day)
Games 33-46 : Minnesota (January 28th, 1957 through February 19, 1959 - 753 Days)
Game 47: Tied (February 20th, 1959 - 1 Day)
Game 48 : North Dakota (February 21st, 1959 through January 14th, 1960 - 327 Days)
Game 49: Tied (January 15th, 1960 - 1 Day)
Games 50-56: North Dakota (January 16th, 1960 through February 8th, 1962 - 753 Days)
Game 57: Tied (February 9th, 1962 - 1 Day)
Games 58-176 : North Dakota (February 10th, 1962 through October 28th, 1988 - 9,740 Days
Game 177: Tied (October 29th, 1988 - 1 Day
Game 178: Minnesota (October 30th, 1988 through February 9th, 1989 - 102 Days
Game 179: Tied (February 10th, 1989 - 1 Day)
Games 180-280* : Minnesota (February 11th, 1989 through present. North Dakota could theoretically take the series lead as early as March 2012)

Series held by North Dakota for 11,955 Days or 32 years, 9 months for 147 games
Series held by Minnesota for 10,040 Days* or 27 years, 6 months for 123* games
Series held by both schools for 1,043 Days or 2 years, 10 months for 10 games

*This marks the minimum amount of days the Gophers will have held the overall series, if North Dakota ties series by March 2012. Game 281 is the earliest North Dakota could tie up the series.

Wrongo, idiot. You can't even get that right. can anyone from North Dakota even count?

Minnesota has played North Dakota 282 time(s) in their history and their overall record is 140-128-14.
