Might as well start it up, UAA came off a split with BSU, and SCSU only earned 1 point against Nebraska Omaha.

Thoughts on the weekend, prognosticans predictions?

Both teams sucking horribly, with Anchorage's suckage a little less than St. Cloud's.

Kurt Haider predicts his homeys show up with a broom for the first time this year.

Doubtless Husky Fan Roy and waterlover will be nowhere to be seen in this thread. Is this the kind of virtual hockey world we want to live in, I ask you ... is it? A virtual world where DL imposes his creepy old self on digitalized photographic representations of scantily-clad barely legals? Where a wayward Cloudian product of Stearns County Syndrome and michigan resident still posing as his wife through a sockpuppet co-mingle with the esteemed Pope? I'm telling you ... my colon is in perfect health and I refuse to bow to the comma gods for that previous sentence. Are we to rely on TB to save us? I fear no amount of LiiT's can save this thread from inevitably boring the amorphous conglomeration to it's ultimate and unrighteous virtual death.

I can already tell this thread will be in dire need of the best instrumental cover of a SOAD tune EvaH. So here is Jennifer Lynn, Christine Wu and Meytal Cohen for prophylactic protection against inanity.

Really? Really?

I didn't know that there were WCHA fans who thought we sucked less than someone (well except Yale).

I don't have access to the same herbs as DTP, nor do I have his expertise with wordology or the English-Alaska language. I can't see Alaska from my house, but I know it's out there somewhere. I've worked with a lot of people with the Stearns Co. syndrome, always entertaining. I have to remember that retards are people, too. Coach says our team is searching for an identity. Will someone in Alaska please tell them they are Da Huskies? I feel a Seawolves sweep coming on, with Lee in goal. Get a boner.

I said go over and check out my little story about waterlover's visit a couple of years ago (http://uaafan.blogspot.com/2010/11/memoire-de-la-rencontre-avec-des-fan-de.html).

Oh yeah ... I meant to say that I'll be awarding two free passes to whomever gets "the last word" in this thread. That means the last person to post.

Oh, that. waterlover also made himself semi famous, when, at UND, he drunkenly went behind our bench and grossed out the infamous Dahlie Llama.

Well now that you and your constant boner for me have showed up, things might be looking up eh? I mean your constant anti-me drone isn't inane at all. Huh? I hear Johnny Hill is looking for work ... apparently on his resume' it says .. "prospective employers must interview my wife Patsy." Good on him for making that clear up front finally, you know?

Both teams sucking horribly, with Anchorage's suckage a little less than St. Cloud's.

It was probably about this time last year - maybe a week or two later when I had to intervene and suggest to Euro and a few others to take a deep breath and calm down about the Huskies. They were 5-5-2 at this point last year losing to Michigan Tech and a tie at home with Union and of course were swept on the road at Miami.

They are now 4-6-2 but with a road series at UAA this weekend. That was pretty much the salve that cured the Huskies ills last year and they proceeded on a pretty successful run from that point on. Certainly there are some issues here mainly the power play and anemic SOG stats to start off many games. But, it's a team with alot of depth that should continue to improve the deeper they get into the season.

I need to see how this team reacts in Alaska while they are still within striking distance in the league standings. It's pretty much gut check time and if they can get their act together on the PP and play a much more aggressive rather than reactive game they'll be OK.

It's frustrating to watch the lapses where they don't move their feet and that's something completely under their control. And, you can't have 12-15 SOG thru the mid point of the game and expect to have much more than a goal on the board.

They're too good of a squad not to think they can't turn this thing around.

There are already "games in hand" disparities within the league. Mankato has already played 10 league games. UAA, St. Cloud, MTU and UNO have played only 6. There's no reason for anyone to panic yet nor is there sufficient justification to crown anyone. FFS, there's lots of games to be played before handing out the Virg Foss Trophy.
