BSU has offically gotten Letters of Intent from Mitch Cain (F), Danny Mattson (F), Sean Rudy (F) and Andrew Walsh (G). They join Sam Windle (D) and Matt Prapavessis (D) who signed during the early signing period.

              Future Beavers Update:

Corey Petrash and the Winnipeg Thrashers skated to a 2-2 tie yesterday at the Telus Cup. Corey is now 3 GP, 1G-1A-2 Pts., 2 PIM. The Thrashers are now 1-1-1 in the round robin round and sit in 5th place out of 6 (or a three way tie for third, but slide to fifth on Goal Differential). They have two more games left in this round.

Sean Rudy and thed Wellington Dukes sit 2-0-0 in their round robin play at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup and sit first out of four teams. Sean sits at 2 GP, 2G-2A-4 pts., 0 PIM. They have one more round robin game left and should be a lock for the championship round (I believe number 1 gets automatically put in the Championship while 2 and 3 playoff for the other berth).

Tyler Tosunian and the Pembroke Lumberkings opened the Fred Page Cup with an 11-3 victory. Tyler had one goal in the contest. Pembroke has two more games left in round robin play.

They will play the number 3 team in the semifinals today (Soo Eagles) to earn the right to take on the host Huntsville Otters in the Championship.

Tyler Tosunian and the Pembroke Lumberkings are now 2-0-0 at the Fred Page Cup with an 9-5 victory yesterday. Tyler has 2 GP with 1G-2A-3 Pts., and 2 PIM. As of noon on 04/25/11, the list of active players is getting shorter. We only have two recruits still playing this year and four former Beavers still involved in playoffs.

Corey Petrash and the Winnipeg Thrashers won the Telus Cup (Canadian AAA National Championship). The Thrashers finished third out of six in round robin play to make the semifinals. After an OT victory in the Semifinals, the Thrashers took the Cup with a 3-1 victory.

Sean Rudy and Tyler Tosunian will both be taking part in the Royal Bank Cup, the Canadian Junior Championship. Rudy and the Wellington Dukes won the Dudley Hewitt Cup while Tosunian and the Pembroke Lumberkings won the Fred Page Cup. The Royal Bank Cup will be 04/30/11-05/08/11 in Camrose, Alberta.

Riley Weselowski, Ryan Adams and Dan MacIntyre and the Rapid City Rush have moved onto the Turner Conference Finals as Rapid City tries to defend their 2010 CHL Title.

Chris McKelvie and the Greenville Road Warriors are still alive in the ECHL playoffs, but trail Wheeling 3-2 in the best of seven conference semifinals. Greenville and Wheeling will meet tomorrow (04/26/11) for game six.

For those of you interested in keeping tabs on Tyler Tosunian and Pembroke, or Sean Rudy and Wellington, or both, in the Royal Bank Cup, here is the website. Pembroke (CJHL) is the East Rep, while Wellington (OJHL) is the Central Rep. The Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL) are the hosts, Portage Terriers (MJHL) is the West Rep and the Vernon Vipers (BCHL) are the Pacific Rep.
