    Just goes to show how worthless these preseason polls, are. Minnesota at 15?!?!?!?!? What are they smoking to have them that high?

      Broken down by conference:

      Hockey East - 4
      WCHA - 4
      CCHA - 2
      ECAC - 2
      BTHC - 3

          Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

            "Warriors of the North"

            Sort of a good description of our hockey team. They usually fight to win like warriors and most of our players are in fact from the north. Don't really like the Air Force logo with the big snow flake that much though.

            Also Warriors of the North already has a 63 year history in Grand Forks. Also an association with the Air Force would strenthen our ties to aviation.

                        He is a good player and I wouldn't be suprised if he decided on UND. My guess is he wants to get a way from home. Sometimes that is a problem for the Gophers.
                        Slap Shot - 444 might want to consider a restraining order.
                        dggoddard - Minnesota is THE ELITE Program in all of college hockey.

                          UND picked to win the WCHA by both the coaches and the media:

                          Media Poll

                          Genoway got some love for POTY in both polls, with Gregoire and Trupp also mentioned in the media poll. Forbort was 2nd for ROTY votes in the media poll.
                          I'm surprised there was no mention of Kristo or Nelson.

                            Schmaltz, a highly-recruited defenseman from Verona, Wis., verbally committed to UND, choosing the Sioux over Boston College, Colorado College, Denver, Minnesota, Miami and Notre Dame.

                            “I just feel like North Dakota is the place for me,” Schmaltz said. “Obviously, the rink is the best in the country, maybe in the world. I really like the coaching staff, the campus and everything.”

                              I read some where that ND is having their media day today. When did you guys get a media? Didn't the state of North Dakota just get the internet last year? Crazy, next thing you know you might even get indoor plumbing.
