USA Hockey u18 camp invites out...

The emails went out today for the u18 August camp. It should be posted on website soon. There are some TOP 93s that were left off. It seems they are going for size over skill in some cases.....very disappointing.

Or maybe the players chosen graded better or were better team players?

You can't get worked up with the selection process. There are many players who don't even get the opportunity to try out who are deserving of making the team. It is what it is.

Exactly. The roster looks good and I'm sure that all of the players who will be attending camp deserve to be there. Can't wait to get to Lake Placid and see the series with Canada.

Hey Hux....Isn't it funny that the best prospects always seem to match up with academics and the most elite schools, as in powerhouses?

Megan Miller was named the all-tournament goalie in the AA bracket on the NAHA AA team and Amanda Pelkey played on that team as well. They won the AA finals.

USA Selects A team had at least Haley Skarupa, Briana Mastel, Courtney Burke and Anne Pankowski. Maybe one more.

MN Icecats had Taylor Kuehl and Layla Marvin.

USA Selects AA had at least Amanda Boulier and Emily Field, maybe more.

Ahhh, they lost in the qrtrs to a team that didn't win the tournament. So...I guess this should make a bunch of people up north happy I don't know who all was on the team but I know Skarupa, Burke Mastel and Pankowski were. Not sure about anyone else.
