I'm calling shenanigans on that. First off besides maybe the military academies no one cares about a student athletes education more than the ivies. Second I doubt that any coach would tell their players not to take hard classes. They want them to be successful so that even if they don't make it to the NHL they will be able to donate to the program one day.

Little secret for you, about 90 pct of players get 2 years or less scholarship., Bonino 1/4 for example
Why keep saying 300' + when the vast majority get less then 2 years

I agree most should go D 1 and only elite who are fast track nhl should go MJ
It is a hollow victory for ncaa to go one year and leave
You are aware of nothing. You said "To assume that all kids that go MJ have interest in education is laughable." No one assumed that.

Your information is not a secret. It's not a fact either. And I'm not sure who is talking about 300' or what exactly you mean. I read that as "300 feet." Not as cryptic as "W00@ct."

As for the hollow victory, what are you talking about? Ask any UND fan, heck, any WCHA fan, and they will tell you it was a treat to watch Toews play and they were thrilled he was there for two (yes, two) years. Matt Niskanen and Mason Raymond were bright spots on pretty dismal tUMD teams. Zach Parise, Travis Zajac, Thomas Vanek, JVR, Paul Kariya... you think fans of UND, UMTC, UNH, Maine, etc would rather those players didn't come? NO.

I dont remember seeing a white painter's fan with "candy" spray painted on the side in the parking lot at Meehan, so my guess it isn't Brown.

The 300 k was the number people have been saying the D 1 ncaa package is worth vs MJ packages

Most get 1 year maybe 2

Pat Kane got a package that paid for his sister, not bad

            Vast majority should go D1

I find it highly unlikely that you socialize with any Ivy League alumni at any level. Or are they social workers in your group home?

You are confusing college hockey fans with College Hockey, Inc. If it's a hollow victory and so terrible, why on earth would teams do it? Please. "No, Nisky, you are from the Iron Range, a 3-sport high school star, and a first round draft pick, but we don't want you at tUMD because you're not going to stay four years." Not gonna happen. Bjugstad is practically building a time machine out of a DeLorean in his garage trying to get to the pros faster, but if Lucia passed on him because of it, the collective bricks that the Gopher fans would **** could build a life-sized replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Plus, why is it a hollow victory for College Hockey, Inc. anyway? If every drafted player played college hockey, there still wouldn't be enough to fill out the rosters. Now, if every player on a team was a one-and-done player, then that's a problem, but that's just Lucia, er, that coach being a moron. But it's never going to get to that point, and the more high draft picks coming to college hockey, the better it is for college hockey's development reputation.

Do you have a picture of Pat Kane's sister? I want to decide if I'd pay for her.

Somebody bring back jnacc for this arguement. I still don't agree with him and probably never will, but at least when he posted his arguments, he seemed to stay on subject and his posts didn't want me to throw things at my monitor.
