You do know that we're hosting the 2012 Frozen Four, right? Translation - the program is, at the very least, good through then... duh!

Ok.....because the last time a school without D1 hockey hosted this event was way back in 2009?!?!

Danke. Oct. 27 is our due date. First ultrasound is Wednesday.

I know. I figure Blaise would be more likely to come down than a lot of HEA coaches. That said, I'm pretty happy about that entire "haven't released their schedule yet" list. :)
Hopefully you get your wish and BC will be the team.

One of my coworkers was formerly at Boston College, so if that winds up being the case we may have some good-natured ribbing that week. :)

And ditto - thanks to all the teams that have stepped up to schedule the Chargers this season.

AMEN!

Charger Fans... Here is the "unofficial" schedule for next year... yep, all 34 of them.:D I'm not putting any dates to them just to tease you guys... he, he, he ;) You know how to figure them out... There are always possible changes but, as of today, it looks like this:

H - Ferris State
@ Wisconsin
@ Bowling Green
@ Michigan State
@ Ohio State
H - Providence
@ RPI Tournament
@ Cornell
H - Robert Morris
@ Mercyhurst
H - RPI
H - Bemidji State
H - (Surprise!!!) You'll have to wait for the "official" announcement
@ Colorado College
@ Nebraska-Omaha
@ Ferris State
H - NDTP

Here's the game breakdowns by league affiliations:
10 CCHA
8 WCHA
6 ECAC
4 Hockey East
4 Atlantic Hockey
2 NDTP

A couple details are left out for reasons that will become clear when the official schedule is announced but hey, what a great schedule!!! If we can hold our own, sadly without Talbie, we could qualify for an at-large bid. Big task but then you got to play the big boys to learn to play like them. With new goalies coming in a .500 season will be a tough chore but if it happens, it will be quite an accomplishment!!! Take a good look at that schedule, you'll be hard pressed to find many tougher. We should score big points in the Strength of Schedule department for sure... Enjoy Charger Fans!!! :D

PS - I'd like to personally thank each and every team that stepped up and helped us make this schedule happen - you should do the same.

PPS - And thank you Millsy... :the flag is flying high:

Isn't the field for the RPI tournament UAH/BGSU and Connecticut/RPI?
That would make the count:

11 CCHA
8 WCHA
4 or 5 ECAC
4 Hockey East
4 or 5 Atlantic Hockey
2 NDTP
with the assumption that a Hockey East team is your surprise visitor.

For those interested: Athletics is selling authentic road blue jerseys as well as game-worn jerseys from the last several seasons (http://saveuahhockey.com/2010/05/24/buying-road-blues/). I am the contact point for the sales. We need a minimum buy to make the authentics happen.

Isn't this fun...:p

According to USHR, Danton Cole is believed to be one of four finalist to become the next head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Team. What are the UAH fans hearing? It would be a tough break if he decided to leave UAH.

I have a feeling Northeastern is the surprise Hockey East team. As far as I know most of the other HE teams have their schedules released and/or have their OOC schedules well know. Northeastern still has 3 OOC games unaccounted for. It would be pretty cool to play you guys if we are the mystery team.

Any idea when you guys release your schedule and end the suspense?

I have read the same report.

We're usually pretty late to release the schedule. A couple times, I thought we'd start playing games before they announced it. ;)

Any idea when you guys release your schedule and end the suspense?Based on what's in the USCHO schedules for next year in Hockey East it could still be any team. I will say this... Sorry, it's not NU. And for the rest of you, I'm not going to eliminate anyone else...:D

While looking through all the screens on the uscho website, I noticed that UAH is nowhere to be found under the "Standings" heading. Apparently, there is a blank CHA subheading and Bemidji et al. are in their respective conferences. Wonder if our Chargers will get their own subheading, or included under the sorry "Independent" subheading, or perhaps forgotten altogether. Even the drop down from the D-I Men heading still includes the old CHAers in one conference. Will UAH get its own heading once uscho.com gets its act together? Feh.

We know Providence is going to UAH. Northeastern is not. Maine does not have them on their released schedule and neither does UNH. Down to 6 Hockey East teams left.

BU and BC seem to know what their OOC schedule is, as does UML. The UMass blog had some insight on their OOC schedule and didn't mention UAH (though the MSG game may be off for them):
