That's why they need to re-seed the Frozen Four. It's a bit anti-climactic to see such a great battle of facial hair in the Semis.

Now that's just not fair. As we all know, Clarkson sucks. Add in the fact that they perennially fail in the playoffs, and it's like you beat AIC in the quarters. Not that I'm sayin' anything, just sayin'.

It's a somewhat rare to see a player that old, considering our oldest players are 24 this year.

I personally don't like that there is a 23 yr old freshman, but I wouldn't describe RIT as having serious issues. I know Denver had a 25 year old this year and so do other teams.
My whole understanding of the Athletic Scholarship situation (and please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong) was that the 2003 reform package mandated that DIII schools follow DIII bylaws no matter the division that they play in, although the scholarships existent at that time were grandfathered in. Thus, no scholarships.

Now this part I know for a fact: that same 2003 reform eliminated the ability to redshirt, with the exception of medical redshirting if the injury/condition causes a player to participate in fewer than 1/3 of the RS games for the team, from DIII.

Thus, my understanding of this would lead me to conclude that Medical Redshirts are the ONLY redshirts RIT would be allowed to award.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.

He was implying that we were taking your team lightly. We weren't, there was no proof that we were and he was proven to be talking out his arse.

To me, talking smack is more along the lines of mentioning our championships, draft picks, superior talent, good looking co-eds etc. Things that YOU mentioned, not me.

                Does that help?

P.S. Are you really a professor? Yikes!
                Your analysis is correct, Gurtholfin.

And being a Professor is no great shakes. Trust me, I know.

Oh, and let me say this RIT fans...

I'd rather be playing Denver or UNH, as we've played and beat them both. Playing against an unknown makes me a little uneasy.

In the low-scoring, one-and-done world of college hockey, seeds have little meaning. Anybody can beat almost anybody. Personally, I'm chewing my fingernails off. Not that losing a hockey game is the end of the world.

I do think it's fair to say just making the FF isn't good enough. Not winning it will would be a disappointment.
