  • Your team's best/worst box score

On the heels of watching the Union/Clarkson game on TV I had to look up the box score to see just how bad Clarkson performed. I think the link below says it all. What do you feel are your team's best/worst box scores? The obvious are national championship wins. Looking for the the not so obvious and/or games you attended.

My team is MSU. I remember walking into Van Andel saying out loud "He better start Migliaccio" over and over again. This is the one and only time I left a game in a violent mood. It was a disgraceful performance.

I can't find the box score but the final was 12-1 Clarkson over Northeastern in 92-93.

I don't wanna keep looking but that is bad....I know we beat Uconn 10-1 once... Can't remember when though....

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Going with just the last ten years or so USCHO has archived this may be the low point. I had never felt anger like that watching my team play, and there were a lot of bad games that year. When UM scored just the second goal of the game, the Notre Dame players actually quit. I know we use that term a lot to describe a less than complete effort, but this was an actual capitulation. Michigan players were actually discussing how to take lanes to the net they were leaving open. I don't know why they didn't just skate off the ice and forfeit. Hard to believe this was one night later.

As for the best? It's hard to top this.

Not my team, but I do know someone on it. Plymouth State's women's team is 0-20-0 this season and they've been outscored 184-12 on the season. Here are a few of their box scores:

Probably not in the top ten best/worst for either team, but I know RPI fans hate this one.

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Denver has won seven NCAA hockey titles. Speaking only for myself, any of those seven boxscores would be "the best."

The Pioneers have lost some NCAA title games as well. Any of these championship game defeats would be "the worst."

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

If we're strictly going by score and what USCHO has on file, I believe these are the two:

                          BC-UML

                          BC-Notre Dame

Both home games. I remember BU, UNH and Maine beating up on BC prior to what USCHO has on file. I think UNH put up 10 in Durham and Maine may have won a game like 12-5 or something absurd like that.

                          Best:

                          BC-UMass
