  • Unified Interlock Standings - Just for Fun

When I was updating my computer rankings, I decided to take a look at what a unified Interlock standings table would look like, because that's the way it was back in the day, and I often read posts from people who don't get that competition wise it's just like a single league, since every team plays each other team in the interlock one time. So here's what it would look like if we put them together by points. For ease of comparisons NESCAC in red, ECAC East in blue

    Code:
    1	Norwich 21
    2	Amherst 16
    	Bowdoin 16
    4	Colby 15
    5	Williams	14
    6	Babson 12
    	Skidmore	12
    	Southern Maine 12
    	Middlebury	12
    	Trinity 12
    11	Saint Anselm 11
    	Hamilton 11
    13	Castleton 10
    14	Umass Boston 9
    	Tufts 9
    16	New England Coll.8
    17	Saint Michael's 7
    18	Conn. College 5
    19	Wesleyan 4
    20	Univ. New England0
I have no idea what it all means, but feel free to comment

It means finally a multi-conference ranking with Norwich on top

Is that a political comment? After all the Nescac is more CCCP than the ECAC East, and when I grew up the CCCP flag was red. (You remember, "better dead than red") I chose blue, because blue isn't red

We've always thought of Norwich in the same vein as the Yankees while seeing Midd as akin to the Red Sox...so this color scheme works for me

Um, I know regionally midd fans are most likely red sox fans, but that doesn't work. At. All.

Unless you can remind me of when the red sox won something like 8 championships in 12 years.

I wasn't thinking of it in Championship terms....it only works in the capacity that Norwich can go out and get almost anyone they wish to add to their roster...a la Yankees.

Re: Unified Interlock Standings - Just for Fun

Just for fun, let's take a look at what the standings would look like if there was no Interlock. Below would be the standings if the Interlock did not exist. I have also posted their current standings with the interlock after the team's record to comare results.

                  ECAC East

                  1. Norwich 13 (6-0-1) 1st with Interlock
                  2. St. Anselm 9 (4-2-1) 4th
                  3. Skidmore 8 (4-1-0) 5th
                  4. Southern Maine 8 (4-3-0) 6th
                  5. Babson 7 (3-3-1) 2nd
