I know, but I also never said it wasn't the norm. All I was pointing out is that in my opinion, I do not think it is a good idea before a big series.

True, but you could also make the arguement that its good for the team to go out and blow off some steam together.
You cant expect a bunch of college kids to not going out and do some drinking, especially when its someone's 21st b-day.

Probably happened when he started the 5th Denver vs Wisconsin thread. I neg repped him after he neg repped me and called me a ****. (At least I'm assuming it was him, he didn't sign it, but it was during an argument I was having with him earlier).

But to be honest since that squabble he seems like a good Badger poster. Happy to have him on the board.

And I certainly wouldn't be calling you any of those starry words. Or neg rep you. Especially since I think you have to have 100 posts to do so. (could be wrong about that though )

I know, I know, I agree blowing off steam is good. I am 21 and go out 3 times a week on average. That said, if I was playing for the badgers, I would not be doing that.

Thanks, I believe you were the only one who got the humor in the question about starting a new thread I posted. Obviously you are some sort of a freak of genius nature.

As far as my neg rep, I made a silly geek speak post in response to someone in this forum who just took one negative word from the previous post and then just more or less added "Bucky fans are" to it. I was thinking, "Geez. I don't mind being disparaged, it's often quite fun, but at least put some thought into it." My response went whooshing by most and next thing you know 6 longtime posters, not in the thread, or that I've ever seen, gang rep me with comments I'm sure their mothers would be quite proud of. In retrospect though I should have just written "please, let's all just try a little harder."

On the bright side, twice as many very nice posters have also pos repped me so I'm not too far down. (Apparently rep power isn't uniform?)

At any rate, I prefer to think of it as Cardinal.

Badger fans, what has been the major cause of your losses this year?

UMD has had some questionable goaltending, and just not being able to score. Chalk that up to good defense or just bad luck.

I think you would. If you didnt go out drinking with the team, it would only cause problems.
Besides, getting drunk on a regular basis is part of the life of a college student in Madison.

UMD has had some questionable goaltending, and just not being able to score. Chalk that up to good defense or just bad luck.

Id say the main cause has been just sloppy play. Ive seen plenty of times when the Badgers would mishandle the puck (miss a pass or turn the puck over), which resulted in a lot of missed scoring opportunities or resulted in giving the other team a chance for a breakaway and an easy score.

A lot of longtime posters don't have the best sense of humor(especially the ones who root for a certain under achieving team) and are also pretty unforgiving when a newer poster breaks protocol or gets mouthy.

Whatever, I've enjoyed your posts to this point and I believe I'm getting the overall joke, such as it is.

And yeah, the ones with 40k posts have more power for the dark side than folks like me have for the light.
