I've noticed that there are some really good teams that consistently win and teams that lose regardless of the talent. This may occur over years, with that being said the team does change as students graduate, move on, don't make the team, or new talent is brought in, whatever the case may be. I've met coaches who played hockey and became great coaches and others that played, were great players but a coach they did not make. I'm curious to hear from the men who are currently playing hockey, men who have played and even the men who have coached hockey. What do you think are the qualities that make the best coaches? What does/did your coach do to make you become the best player you could be?

- Know your competition! Do the work.
-Savor your goaltending!
-Defense First, one way players need not apply!
-Get off your butt in the off season and search Western Canada for diamonds in the rough.
-Find the smartest athletes as the dumb ones are a dime a dozen.
-Make a plan and stick with it.
-Maturity.
