How come he had to sit out? I didn't see any stats for him this year. Does that mean he started the semester at Superior and then decided to transfer? I know Justin Fox went from playing at Salem State in the spring semester and he's now at Oswego and has played from the get go.

I'd still back that any day of the week. The loss of Pischlar certainly has taken it's toll.

ADRIAN COLLEGE is proud to announce the arrival of the newest member of the Adrian College family. Bruiser, a 10 week old English Bulldog puppy, arrived on campus a few days ago and will officially make his debut at the men's varsity hockey game on Friday, January 22 where he will wave to the crowd from center ice. He will be the honorary guest during a ceremonial puck drop before the game begins at 8 P.M. Further information and a baby picture can be found at: http://adrianbulldogs.cstv.com/index-main.html

In the spirit of the NCAA as a catalyst for social change:

The NCAA is investigating a complaint by PETA that making a dog watch a hockey game amounts to animal cruelty. At a minimum PETA is demanding a heated dog house at the rink to protect Bruiser from the chill of the rink and taunts of opposing fans.

Local PETA president Muffy Dowager was quoted in the Detroit Free Press that "...Having a live animal mascot shows utter disrespect for the well being for those life forms with which we share this planet. And then to have this gorgeous little puppy exposed to the cold, damp, rink with loud noises and dangerous implements such as sticks and skate blades is cruel and will damage poor Bruiser. We insist that if this outrage is to be perpetuated, that Bruiser be protected from the hostile and abusive environment."

Amid fears of an animal "rescue", Adrian fraternity Tappa Kegga Bru has established a 24 hour guard around Bruiser. "No bunch of tree hugging snobs is (sic) going to mess with our mascot," stated TKB president Randolph "Knuckles" Neal IV. "Bruiser is going to be a big part of increasing school spirit on campus."

Point has a 'live mascot' named McKenzie, an English Pointer. Have only seen it once.... wouldn't put it up against a bulldog though(you know, Ron Mexico style), would probably turtle.

                          I hate PETA.

...on that note, Merry Christmas everybody!

                            Nicely done.

Although it would be considered cruelty to make the dog sit through the Concordia games....
