          So many DU posters have said positive things about the lady that I will defer to their judgement. However, on this issue, she's coming on like a crank.

            You are making my point for me. The reporter wasn't on the road trip. Are you saying Mike Chambers does not get his information from the DU athletic department?

                      Shirely Jackson is also the first African American female president of a major private school (RPI). I am sure the RPI folks will know more about her and whether she deserves all the money she gets, but her pay package is seen as controversial by many, but her Board is fully behind her, due the transformation of the school that's she's been overseeing. I believe she is the highest-paid private college president in the US.

                            Coombe is the only Prez on the list catching flak from a hockey blogger. Obviously I'm helping keep expenses down on campus.

                            I say let Coombe test the free agent market and then offer him a 20% pay cut.

                            Considering Ritchie made a dollar a year, Coombe is seriously under-performing.

                              Some say measure college presidents by fund raising/capital campaigns, press and prestige, enrollment size, program strenghts, faculty schoalrship, research grants, endowment, US News rankings, and admissions selectivity. Bah.

                              As we all know, the only acceptable measure for a college president is how many NCAA Hockey titles have they overseen....

                              Coombe may be mascot-challenged, but has at least generated 1 NCAA hockey title under his watch (2005).

                              CC president Celeste is the one who is underperforming, as are all CC presidents since 1957.
