Welcome to the 10th edition of the ECAC Pick The Standings Contest. I may not have a fancy way of letting you enter your picks like the 2009-10 D1 Pick-em thread :) but I think this contest is the longest running on the board.

Union 93 is the defending champion in the contest. The contest is easy. Pick the ECAC Standings at the end of the 2010 season in order from 1-12 (no ties). Yep you still have to manually enter them by posting ;) . Playoff seedings determine the position of the teams incase of a regular season tie. You accumulate points based on the difference squared of the position you pick for each team vs the teams actual finish. If you pick RPI first and they finish first you accumulate 0 points. If they finish 2nd, you accumulate 1 point, 3rd 4 points, 4th 9 points etc. LOWEST SCORE IS THE WINNER . You have until the puck drops on Oct 27th for the Harvard-Dartmouth game to get your picks in.

Tie breakers are:

Pick correctly the ECACHL Regular Season Champ.
Have the most teams in the correct order of finish.
Have the most top 6 teams in the correct order of finish.
I will flip a coin .

You can change your picks at any time up till the drop of the puck of the first league game, however DO NOT EDIT THE ORIGINAL PICKS . Just put up a new post with your change.

Good luck.

No love for Colgate? We've got 6 NHL draft prospects and should be miles better than Brown (sorry, Bears fans). I can't see them below 8th unless we get hit by the injury bug again.

1 Cornell (homer pick, but they'll be right up there with Greening, Nash, and Scrivens back)
2 Yale (darn good last year, returns 94% (!) of its scoring including its top 10 scorers)
3 Harvard (but only if its recruits produce at least half as much as advertised)
4 Princeton (Kalemba and Bartlett should have a balanced supporting cast)
5 Dartmouth (one more season removed from 2008, one more step forward)
6 Colgate (should be better than this, but will figure out ways not to be)
7 Union ( at least you're ahead of RPI - success!)
8 Quinny (finished 5-6-7 the last three years. I know a trend when I see one)
9 RPI (yes, yes - we know you'll be better. Have +2 spots)
10 SLU (ouch. losing 49% of your points and 5 of the top 7 scorers will do this to you)
11 Brown (hey, it could be worse)
12 Clarkson (off-ice troubles will subtract further from their on-ice mess last season)

Are both RIP and Pole Institute supposed to be RPI? If so, you forgot Quinnipiac.

I assumed RIP for RPI and Pole Institute for Quinny. I assumed there are a lot of my Polish bretheren attending Quinny :) .
