    Where's the poll?

And I bet it doesn't include an option for my friends streaking through a campground on a nice July 4th weekend. For no reason whatsoever. Which happened only 2-3 years ago.

When you say "remember" does that imply that one recall when it happened? That is one can't include ones that happened before one was born. (Yes, DiMaggio's streak was before I was born.)

Hard to vote for Goldberg when 8 of those wins were against Jerry Flynn.

I'd have said Cal Ripken before it came to light that the whole thing was during an era of rampant steroid use.

Ripken's streak is for breathing and not thinking enough of his team to be benched when he sucked, whoopdy-do. (Yes, that can get me lynched in Maryland).

It's either DiMaggio or Jennings. The others are silly.

I seriously doubt Cal Ripken was on steroids.

                  oh.... nevermind....

DiMaggio's record is amazing. It's quite a feat to get even halfway to 56. I kind of agree with Kepler about Ripken's streak - after he got to a certain point, they were never going to bench him, and it didn't matter if he performed well or not.

How about Jim Marshall's 282 consecutive games played streak? That's pretty good for a defensive lineman.

When I saw the thread, I thought the guy who ran by David Niven at the Academy Awards vs. the guy at Wimbeldon in the 70's.

                        Neither are a choice.

I'm trying to remember what streak Ray "The Crippler" Stevens was involved in? I know he had a couple straight piledrivers of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka on the Madison Square Garden floor, but that's about all I can think of.

                            Who's Ray Stevens?

I think it's gotta be DiMaggio, though I don't see Ripken's streak as being as unimpressive as some people are making it out to be.
