There has to be some Dave Matthews fans on this board. Or does everyone here still listen to Bing Crosby and wait for FDR to hop on the radio with his fireside chats.:p

Please stop. Get a MySpace page or something.

And don't ever speak condescendingly about the Bing ever again. He will rise from the dead and hunt you down.

Not as much as John Mayer. His version of "Free Falling" came on the classic rock station I usually listen to this morning and I wanted to gouge my eyes out while still driving. It was the worst musical abortion I have heard in a long time, and I don't know how Tom Petty could have allowed it

He's probably already on the way. Bing's Christmas music is awesome :D

I don't mind Dave Matthews, but I wouldn't count myself as a "fanboy" or concert follower like some of those guys who follow them ala the Dead or Phish back in the day, Well them, and Widespread Panic too who always seem to draw in really hot women ... :D

Oh, and Sinatra could kick the shiat out of Bing, on and off stage ...

Yes, he is kidding. It could be worse if Dave Matthews took the stage with Kid Rock, Brittney Spears, and every single boy band that ever lived. And no alcohol is allowed.

This brings me to a question: which musical abortion is worse? This, Madonna's version of American Pie, or Sheryl Crow's version of Sweet Child O Mine?

Good luck getting Kid Rock and Brittney Spears to go somewhere that doesn't have alcohol.

I thought this was one of the funniest things I've read in a while...

Worst Musical Abortions (in no order):

Led Zep's "Dyer Maker" performed by Sheryl Crow (personally, I think this is the worst one on the list)

Don MacLean's "American Pie" by Madonna

Petty's "Free Fallin'" by Mayer (I also wanna shoot the radio on that one)

Nazareth's "Hair Of The Dog" by GNR

Anything by the Dave Matthews Band.

(Dave Matthews fans are like the trans-fats of fandom: oversaturated with obnoxiousness, found everywhere, and impossible to get rid of; for example, they only refer to the band as DMB... you can't abbreviate the word 'band' *holes, it's a band by virtue of the fact that there is more than 1 person in it, and for the record, adding the word 'band' to your name doesn't make you any less of an egotistical s*head). Man, you know what I hate? Dave Matthews.

It's the whitest band ever, which is saying something considering 3 of the members are black, and Dave Matthews is literally an African American (born in South Africa). His music can be heard in Whole Foods stores, Live Earth concerts, or blasting from the speakers of open-topped Jeeps parked on curbs everywhere. The typical fan is either some dude wearing khaki cargo shorts replete with dangling rock climbing hooks, even though he doesn't hike because he can't afford to drive his gas-guzzling Jeep, or some chick with huge boobs, buck teeth, and an ankle-length floral skirt that she twirls around like an idiot because she thinks her awesome boobs give her enough social capital to make up for the buck teeth and hairy toes (they don't).
